Check in at this “hotel” was very difficult. The desk is not staffed at all times and was challenging for a late check in. The towels all had a strange smell to them. The place in general smelled strange. The shower was right next to the bed and offered absolutely NO privacy. Location was okay - it was about a half hour walk to the Vatican and Coliseum, and maybe about 20 minutes to the Trevi fountain.

I believed this was a hotel due yo previous reviews, but quickly realized once there it was not. Trouble getting into building, had to carry luggage up 3 stairs to get to elevator & trouble with elevator.

This property should not be advertised as a hotel. It’s 3 units converted into Airbnb’s. Greeted at check-in by a friendly girl but it was the only time we saw someone at the desk. Last 2 days we had no hot water. Had to take very cold showers. The unit was clean. Location was great, but would not come back.

We didn’t like that there was no front desk. The staff lady we met was not friendly at all. Our AC in the room was not working and we had to message on watsup. No one came to take a look. There was no fan for air circulation. The building is very old. I would not recommend this hotel.

Nice stay in Prato

Spent two nights here in October. Neighbourhood was quieter than other areas like Trastevere but easy walk to the Vatican. Further to the major attractions in the centre of Rome but it was an easy bus ride or about a 40 min walk. Staff were very helpful and communication ahead of time was great. Room was comfortable and clean with good air conditioning.

It was the worst experience I’ve ever had, I travel a fair bit but have never come across anything like this. First of all there was no reception at anytime! Secondly the property was very poorly maintained; it was not clean, dust in the corners, towels were very old and had a smell to them and stains! there was bad odor coming from the drain, but the sheets were reasonably clean. Ants everywhere, I got many in my suitcases and in the bed as well!! The fridge was not working, when I asked the receptionist via text they refused to do anything about it. It was quite devastating not to have cool water in 37 degrees heat! It’s basic essentials!!! The shower did not have a door (as they claimed it was the style!!) so when you showered a lot of water would come out and fill up the floor, the floor mat/towel was not enough to absorb the water, it was hazard issue as well. This experience was horrendous!!

The property was in a safe space. The room was tiny and not very clean. There was dust and dirt everywhere. The ac worked well. Due to location it was loud at night. There is no onsite staff. They were very attentive to any msgs and requests but never available in person. Only at random hours. If anyone were to be locked out of their room or have any issues there is no help around.

We were more than happy with Clementi 18 Suites! Very nice and clean room, friendly reception and everything worked fine without any complications, even our late self-check-in. The accomodation is perfectly located in the center of Rome and everything was in walking disctance (between 10 and 30 minutes). We never used any transportation and walked everything so we saw a lot of beautiful Rome. Washing saloon is located next to the accomodation as well a several Cafés and Restaurants, where you can get delicious coffee and breakfast or food. Our Rome trip was absolutely perfect with Clementi 18 Suites! Highly recommended!

Got there did not have any clue how to access the building. Air-conditioned did not work. Shower in bedroom. Door to get to room was so small if i had been any bigger i wouldn't have fit. Very pleased with property overall and the location. Feline was lovely and very helpful. My only gripe was that it took us a long time to check in as Reception wasn’t manned and the instructions (English option) didn’t work. It all seemed overly complicated and in the end I had to text for help. I was quickly sent a different code which then opened the key safe.
