We had a great stay at Distillers House, the apartment was clean and well equipped- with a super location close to the tram to the airport and with lots of cafes and bares in the neighborhood. Easy to get access with a code and a very convenient luggage storage room.

Lovely relaxing stay

It was a lovely stay. We really appreciated how easy it was to check in and having the “personal” code to get onto the building and into our apartment. It was located right where we needed to be so that we could walk everything we wanted to do because we didn’t want to get a rental car. The only thing I would recommend is either a noise maker or ear plugs (or both) because you are right in the city and there is a lot of noisy traffic.

We had a fantastic stay at Destiny Scotland - Distillers House. The apartment was spotlessly clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped for our needs — ideal for both short and extended stays. One of the biggest advantages is the location: it’s central yet quiet, with easy access to Princes Street, Haymarket, and the West End. We loved being able to walk to great cafes, restaurants, and attractions, all within minutes. Self check-in was smooth and convenient with clear instructions provided in advance. The communication with the property was prompt and professional throughout. We appreciated the thoughtful touches like quality toiletries, soft towels, and plenty of storage space. We enjoyed our stay. Clean, spacious apartment, separate bedrooms with darkening blinds. Great location so close to the transportation, airport express bus, train station, grocery, restaurants. Walking distance to all the major points of interest. Keyless entry is very convenient. Full kitchen with a dining area. Left a few suggestions to the management on some cosmetic improvements but overall - no issues. Highly recommending!

Great location, easy to get there from the airport, lovely restaurants nearby and close to all the tourist stuff. Great apartment, really well equipped and nicely presented. Couple of relatively minor points- the apartment is quite big, the bed is too small and not that comfy. Also in the small dressing room there’s a full length mirror & storage but no place to plug anything in. Other than that a really good and easy would have happily stayed longer.

Comfy & convenient; no lift & poor soundproofing

Good location, clean and comfortable space, well equipped apartment, plenty of good food sources of all sorts within easy reach - we enjoyed our stay. There are imperfections, of course! Quite noisy - we were on the 2nd floor but were still woken by the street cleaning truck. Don't book if you have any mobility or balance issue: from the hidden door step to the narrow, winding, carpeted stairs, the slip-and-trip opportunities are plentiful. Also, it puzzles me why a spacious place has only a queen bed. No matter, we'll likely be back.

Booked a comfort double, got a 2 bed apartment in the basement, so review is based on that. Good: well appointed with solid build and craftsmanship with furniture and decor in as-new condition. Comfy bed, great bathroom and shower, spacious lounge diner. Bad: bedrooms themselves are tiny so cases had to be opened and unpacked in the living area. No elevator but stairs are steep, narrow and winding. Basement room looked out on a wall and was noisy with traffic and tram

Lovely stay

Location was close to the main attractions, many bus stop within walking distance. Comfortable and spacious place. Kitchen was equipped to prepare simple meals, would have been better if they provided some cooking oil, salt, pepper. Bathroom is in very good condition. No lift and we were on the highest floor, had to carry the luggage up the stairs. Came with washer dryer, which was useful for a long stay. But they only provided 2 laundry capsule.

Overall, Destiny Scotland -Distiller's House was quite nice. Very nice neighborhood. About 15-20 minute walk to the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. Lots of nearby restaurants and other services. I'm from the US. It's unusual to rent a place and have zero physical interaction with anyone at all. I was emailed a door access code, both for the front security door and our room. We were on the 3rd fld a fair climb. Also,)
