Staff at front desk were very helpful. Airport pickup was delayed as driver went to Terminal 1 but all passengers with checked bags go to Terminal 2. Pool area could do with a make over as looking tired. Lovely character hotel and the staff were friendly. Our room at the rear suffered from noise from a nearby plant room.

Bad experience, the room we got was 14 degrees, we were offered the first night a downgrade, but declined. They tried to fix the ac, but it was only 17 degrees all night. The next day we were offered a «upgrade « but the a king bed. Asked for separate covers, 2 blankets was delivered to our room. This also gad problems with the ac. When we opened the doors, the whole room was moist because of the humidity. I also had to argue for 3 days until the hotel gave us the bottle of sparkling that i could show in my booking. There was no apologies when checking out or nothing reduced from the tab. We ended up having a cheaper room and not sleeping good because of only one bed. There’s also s lot of noise in this area. I would never recommend this hotel for anyone i know. There’s plenty if other places.

Room for Improvement

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately found the service and overall experience below expectations for a property that markets itself as a luxury hotel. Check-in was not particularly friendly, and as a Gold member with Hotels.com/Expedia, I was supposed to receive a welcome bottle of sparkling wine — which was neither offered nor acknowledged until I inquired. Even then, the staff did not seem aware or interested in recognizing Gold member benefits so we did not get anything. The room itself was decent and relatively clean, but the location was odd — facing a small courtyard with a direct view of the entrance, which compromised privacy. Basic amenities such as slippers and a luggage holder were missing and had to be requested, with some delay in delivery. During our stay, it rained heavily, and we were told there were umbrellas in our room — there weren’t. When we asked for replacements, staff refused to provide any, leaving us to go out without cover. Housekeeping also overlooked simple details such as replacing used shower caps and replenishing tissues. Breakfast offered a good spread, but again, service was lacking. The breakfast host was curt and abrupt, which left a poor impression to start the day. Overall, while the property itself has potential, the lack of attentiveness and service orientation made the stay disappointing. For a hotel positioning itself as a high-end experience, there’s significant room for improvement in guest care and staff training.

Good things: Hotel Located in a really good area. Lounge, bar and restaurant are cute. Bad things: The Manager at the front desk not helpful at all, really bad customer experience. We just avoided the argument, it was holidays. Suite room not worth it. A bit small and in a dark corner of the building. Not recommended at all.
