Overall, the stay was okay and the food was really good, the experience with the main reception was very disappointing. The staff there were rude, and none of them spoke good English. Ahmed, the supervisor in the white shirt, was especially unhelpful. I lost money in the ATM, and instead of assisting or showing any empathy, he just said it was the bank’s problem and not the hotel’s. For someone in a supervisor role, his attitude and manners were unacceptable. After that, every time I went to reception,I felt ignored by every staff not approached by anyone.
Mina Akram at the Premier side reception was excellent.
He was kind, understanding, and genuinely helpful. My son’s buggy was lost, and while the main reception did not understand me or offer any real help, Mina contacted the airport on my behalf and helped me recover it. He is much better than the main reception team.
The issue on the last day was also frustrating.
We paid for a late check-out and were told we could take a takeaway dinner for my baby. When I went to get the food, the cashier, Abnmoud who was very rude ran up to me asking why I was taking food if I had checked out. I don’t even know how he knew I checked out, but he should have been aware that I was allowed to take food for my son. I had already spoken to the restaurant manager, Ashraf, who was extremely helpful during our stay, The pool was nice and the slides, I’m unsure if I would return because of staff they let the hotel really down.
