Good people, meh resort
The people that worked there are extremely helpful and nice. the place though is pretty meh. The food was just average, the pool/sundeck was WAY too small and inconvenient, and as an all-inclusive it felt annoying to have to sign for every meal/drink/snack. Not a bad place but pretty middling when compared to other all-inclusive resorts I've stayed at.

Very Noisy room from 6pm to 1am!
We were given a choice. Noisy room across from pubs with a view 3rd floor, or a room quieter without a view on the main floor. Wife chose view which was only visible from looking along the hotel from the balcony. The noise was ongoing until 1 am. One needs earplugs. We won’t be staying here any more. Note 4 night stay, and two other hotel stays to make a 12 day vacation. We won’t be going to this one, rather one of the others we stayed at

Great place to relax for a conference
I attended a conference at The Reef 28 and was very pleased with the hotel as a vegetarian. The rooms were huge, and the water filling areas were close. The breakfast was huge, with so many options and someone who could make specialty egg products. I appreciated that the items were labeled, though in a few causes, I wish it was a little cleared as to what was vegetarian. I'm glad they rotated menus daily on the main restaurant. I also appreciated that on the Mexican restaurant, they rotated the vegetables each day that I ordered tacos. The rooftop bar was also quite scenic, and I appreciate the energy one day when they brought in dancers. Overall, I liked this place for a conference, and look forward to attending next year.

Lobby was nice with big bar... ROOM, BEDDING DAMP, THEN OUR CLOTHES, THEN THE AWFUL SMELL! Unfortunately, we had significant issues with the room we were provided. It was was damp and smelly, the bedding was damp and had an awful smell...mold or mildew present. This created quite an uncomfortable and unhealthy environment, forcing us to keep the sliding door open to air out the space. We could not use the AC as it made the small worse. Despite this, the dampness persisted, affecting our clothing, which remained damp throughout the stay. Neither the phone or TV ever worked; were told no one available to fix. Also, we needed to shorten our stay and contacted Expedia to ask for a change in our reservation before our stay; however, but were told that their attempts to contact the Reef 28 went unanswered. The management refused to reimburse us ANY AMOUNT for the 2 days we paid for that we were unable to use ($875 ) With the long notice we gave, most likely they could have rebooked the room.Although I would feel sorry for anyone who would have booked it. After spending two days at the hotel, and on the way home, I was coughing, sneezing and having respiratory problems. Within 3 days I was put on antibiotics. I have not been this sick for years! Coincidence? Sad experience my Grandson's first visit to Mexico.

it was close to 5th Ave, and the beach. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Hotel was clean and food was great, and it was good time. Only one issue, which was outside noise at night was very loud, but there is nothing the hotel can do about that. I would go back again as it was a very good vacation!

Had an amazing time at the Reef28 and I will definitely recommend this place to my friends who want an all inclusive. The food was amazing, the staff extremely friendly and the amenities perfect. I would like to give a special shout-out to these people: the cleaning people who left our room immaculate every time, and our servers: Alondra, Paul, Kevin, Juan and Ritchie. Thanks to Felipe also for his warm welcoming gifts.

I really enjoyed my stay at Reef 28. As a solo female traveller I appreciated the welcoming and helpful staff at the resort, especially Eli at the concierge desk. No one was pushy and I didn't constantly feel like I was being sold to. The food choices at the resort were varied, and fine, the Mexican choices were the best. I was hoping for a bit more authentic flavour but I guess they have to cater to more standard tourist tastes. Great location to wander down to the beach or explore the shopping streets.
