Room could use an update, staff lovely.
Staff all lovely and friendly, hotel room was a bit run down, damage to carpet and bathroom ceiling, bed wasn’t the most comfortable and the kettle wasn’t working. Breakfast was delicious, and check in and check out process was simple and fast.

Ridiculous parking issue
Hotel is fine. But...., although signs are up about pay to park this was not made clear on check in, i didn't look for them in bad rain and pitch black outside. I was asked as normal for details etc, am i in the car park. OK so please put your car reg on the form. Today i had to stay again as the job ran over. Was today told to pay for parking or get fines. The sign on reception doesn't shout pay to park. It says Hotel Colessio, the small text is parking. Why ask if I'm parked in the car park, take the reg, but fail to mention pay to park. I'm happy to pay if needed. Then after trying to sort out a room rate I'm told you only have 15 mins to pay for parking, which i am now probably over. I will be contesting any fines and will pay for the additional parking of course. But come on. This is a bad deal. One happy customer, made very unhappy by this. And as standard with these parking firms. Can't speak to anyone, just wait for the fine letter. Utter joke and day light robbery. Rant over.

Lovely stay room was spacious and clean & a good breakfast. Down side was £15 for parking in hotel car park on top of the price you pay for the hotel. Was a great stay though and couldn’t fault it.

Amazing New Year's stay in a Fabulous hotel.
A beautifully styled hotel, very helpful and friendly staff. Room was spacious and very very clean, lovely view out of the full floor to wall windows. Our room had all amenities needed and a big bathroom with bath and shower. The bed was super comfortable and lovely quilt and plump soft pillows. Very good breakfast and choice of what you want. Such a shame they don't do evening meals anymore, as it's a lovely plush restaurant seating area. I feel it will stop people from staying. But there are great places around the city to go and all close by to the hotel. And the bar has a great selection. A Fabulous place to stay over the New Year, for 3 days. And we will definitely be booking to stay again next time we visit Stirling and the surrounding areas, which has lots to see too.

Great staff, rooms could do with a refurb
This hotel unfortunately did not live up to expectations and feels very much to be trapped in time. The room I was allocated did not align with the images shown online, the configuration was not relaxing, the furniture was extremely dated and worn, and the mattress was lumpy and hard. I believe at one point in time this hotel may have been considered to be luxurious, however a refurb would be required to bring it in line. The staff however were extremely friendly and provided great service.

Room 131
Our room, 131, a deluxe king room, was a disgrace. Threadbare carpets, peeling bed base, cracks and mould in bathroom. Couldn't change our room as staff said hotel was fully booked. Really, really disappointing

Stayed one night and the staff were very friendly and professional Bed was comfortable, room very clean and decor very beautiful Food very good, good choice from the breakfast option One thing i will mention is that tv switched itself on a few times while in the room and would be on when coming back to hotel room after being out, upon asking staff if the keycard operated the tv, their reply was no, so this was interesting Overall lovely experience and would highly recommend Down side is having to pay for car parking

Works for a night
My first meeting with the hotel was a dirty room up the elevator, down a hallway, up a set of stairs and down another hallway. The room was dirty and worn down. The people working there is nice and polite and is the reason why the hotel gets three stars. Had it not been for them I would have given one star. The hotel in general needs a makeover. The breakfast was alright but simple.

Nice hotel, dreadfully short on staff
Nice enough hotel, located perfectly for a stay in Stirling. Unfortunately, they are clearly short of staff and we gave up on getting breakfast. There was only one young lad (credit to him)dealing with a full restaurant. We could not even get a cup of coffee. We gave up, got a refund on breakfast and went to the Meadowpark instead, where we were served a fantastic breakfast.

Not exactly the Ritz but serviceable and friendly
The downstairs public area of the hotel (the lobby, bar and restaurant) is modern and very nicely decorated but once you get beyond to the corridors and bedrooms the furniture and furnishings show their age and clearly need some updating. Our room had worn/torn carpets with exposed gripper strips around the edge, peeling faux leather bed base and the body wash in the ensuite was empty. Having said that the room was perfectly acceptable for a (relatively) cheap place to stop, the staff and service were exceptional and they were incredibly accommodating of our dog, down to leaving treats for him in our room and bringing him a sausage for breakfast. A lovely place to stay but not what I would have rated a 5 star hotel.
