Brilliant!!!

A family run hotel. The brothers are amazing, helpful and friendly. Although the check-in is at the Plaza Hotel (easy walk from the ferry port), our luggage was transported to our room in the Ulrika Hotel (which was only a few minutes walk away). The harbour front with numerous restaurants is only a few minutes easy walk. The bus station is literally round the corner. We highly recommend staying here.

We came to the island for two days. The hotel is family owned and they are the loveliest people you’ll meet. We love this place so much we stayed another two days, and left feeling like family.

Terrible experience

I thought hard on this review. But have to be honest with it. There is no lift in this hotel, we had to carry our luggages down the stairs to the room (we were on 2nd floor) room is very basic, pillows were small and only supplied us with one each. the blankets are thin and I had to take the spare theow blanket in the wardrobe to keep us warm during the night. As it is still considered cold in Aegina during night time in winter, guests should be supplied with thicker blankets. Also, our room floor was flooded by water after we shower! The flood water most definitely came from the drain on the toilet floor. Contacted the proprietor about this and he blamed it on our use of the shower with strong water pressure🤔🤔! I do not think so! it is most definitely a PLUMBING ISSUE. The poor old man took a bucket and mop to try take out as much flood water as he can, I almost laughed at our predicament- he opened the bathroom door while my husband was still at the shower to check where the water is coming from, he wanted to clear the floor of water with a bucket & mop while we were nearly naked so we quickly had to wear our clothes on as we prepared for our day’s itinerary. After the laughable & pathetic situation we were in, We were told that a plumber will come fix it. We came back to the hotel that evening with the same issue. Water seeped out of the floor drain even when using the sink for washing our face or toothbrushing. We were not even offered to be moved to another room.

A wonderful island and a quite wonderful Hotel with the best hospitality. This is an excellent base to explore this very special island and is close to all amenities but peaceful and quiet also. I could not recommend it highly enough, l so enjoyed my stay here on Aegina, the Hotel was perfect!

Hidden Gem- Aegina Island

Wonderful low key hotel on a gem of a low key NOT overrun by tourists with nice beaches covered in pistachio and olive trees!! Soriros and his son Yonnis run 4 properties and his brother next door runs a simple fresh seafood and breakfast place DIRECTLY ON THE BEACH!! BEAUTIFUL & WONDERFUL the nicest friendliest family! Hotel simple, clean, Seaview, beach 1 minute away town 2 minutes away!

It was a joy arriving at this hotel to such friendly hosts nothing was to much bother you just had to ask.we stayed at the Ulrika it was quite, clean and in a great location and had everything you needed, would definitely recommend staying here and would definitely stay again . My family and I checked into the Plaza Hotel close to port as instructed before walking a short distance to Urika hotel. We were warmly welcomed by Yiannis Kalamakis who assures your party are in very good hands. He cares very much about your stay and exhumed positive energy along with his father. Only room available during a one night stay was a 3 bed layout which was adequate size, extra firm bedding suiting us well with nice clean chlorinated fluffy bath towels. TV screen was more of a 19" computer monitor but we don't watch TV anyways. Bathroom floor will get wet due to bath curtain design in this room. A fridge kept any beverages or food cool. I rented a car for a day from his recommendation for 35euro total. This is where people reading this may have better experience prebooking online with reputable companies and not using Yiannis's choice even if it cost a tiny bit more. I don't expect much from rental cars but received a subcompact car that is probably 20-25 years old. It was a hyundai indian spec car. The Indian guy showed me the gas level which was NOT touching the 1/4 line mark when we drove off. We drove to temple of Aphaea, Agios Nektarios, and lighthouse. The tripmeter roundtrip was 33km or no more than 25 miles. I added 5 euro (0.75 gallons) to replace the fuel consumed. The Indian car renter said he wanted 5 more euros because not 1/4 mark. We gave him more more money but TAKE A PICTURE of gauge and show them first so no debate.

Το ξενοδοχείο ήταν αρκετά ασυντήρητο και κατά συνέπεια και το δωμάτιο το οποίο ήταν ξεχασμένο από άλλη δεκαετία όσον αφορά την επίπλωση και την διακόσμηση, το μπάνιο ήταν σε κακή κατάσταση ως προς την καθαριότητα και τις παροχές του. Συνοπτικά η σχέση ποιότητας και τιμής δεν συνάδει με την πραγματικότητα.
