I had no issues with the reservation — both the booking and the room were exactly as described on the website. As for the rooms, the bunk beds are pretty uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the common areas are only available until 11:00 PM. If you're not ready to go to sleep, you have no choice but to go to your room, because going outside isn’t really an option — the downtown area is very dangerous and full of homeless people.
The rooftop has an amazing view, but there’s constant pressure to order something, as staff repeatedly come by asking if you want a drink. The pool doesn’t smell great either — it seems like maintenance is done only occasionally.
I stayed there for 8 nights and had the same towel the entire time. There were 4 of us staying in the room, and the towel staff would only leave 1 small towel for the floor in the bathroom.
The pillows are uncomfortable, and the blankets seemed very old or not recently replaced — they’re thin and don’t feel warm or cozy. Out of the 8 days I was there, my bed was only made once. I usually slept without covering myself because I didn’t feel comfortable enough.
I think the price is okay for this type of accommodation, but it really shouldn’t be as high considering the conditions. The staff is friendly and respectful, but they fall short when it comes to guest comfort. I had a bottom bunk, and every time the person on the top moved, the bed creaked loudly — everything sounded loose and worn out.
There are no privacy curtains.
