Good view and comfortable stay

Nice hotel Manager to welcome us to stay hotel; Provide milk as welcome gift and made us relax after long driving route. She provided good suggestion on nearby restaurants and reminded us to have safety drive in rainy day. Too impressive for first visit in NZ. Quiet room and close to sea view. Easy parking area Quiet and close to sea view.

This was part of a longer trip for us, a road trip of the South Island, What a wonderful gem we found. All the staff were lovely, the room facilities were more than we thought, the breakfast room was lovely, Even though we might never visit this area again (we are from the UK) we would definately recommend to our friends wanting to visit the area. The location is ideal - a 20 minute walk into town or the same along the coast to the fantastic Boat shed Restaurant. The bed was extremely comfortable and the views of the harbour excellent. A friendly host too

Well worth staying here

A very nice hotel located at the side of the marina. The room was spacious and comfortable although I would have preferred a harder mattress. There’s a restaurant within 100 yards, but we preferred to take a 20 minute walk into town where there is a wider choice.

An older hotel but completely modernized. Fantastic staff, clean and very comfortable room, wonderful complimentary breakfast. I also liked that it’s away from the busy streets coming into Nelson and close enough but also far enough away from the CBD. I’d definitely stay here again.

Lovely before/after stay for our hike.

We had a great stay here. It was a great location for before/after our hike. The rooms were lovely & clean & the manager was great! Lovely marina views & a lovely simple breakfast to get you going in the morning. Highly recommend.

Excellent value

We only stayed for one night so obviously didn't get aroom with a view but nevertheless I have to say we were very pleasantly surprised. The property is in a strange part of town for a hotel but we easily walked the 19mins to the cinema then restaurant. Our room was clean, the bed was very comfy. We were given milk on arrival. The breakfast that's included was absolutely perfect- muesli,yoghurt,fruit for us ,plus juice, coffee and asliceof toast. You serve yourselves. We were in the room next to the breakfast room but it wasn't an issue

Harbourside Lodge is between a marina and an industrial park. One decent restaurant next door. We had to walk a few blocks to find other restaurants.We had to go looking for clean towels -management issue I guess. Breakfast offered is underwhelming.
