We wouldn’t stay here again
The guy at reception was nice but our room was less than impressive. The toilet seat was filthy and hadn’t been cleaned. There was also a huge gap under the door that 2 cockroaches and a cricket crawled under. I had to chase them around. Man, crickets are fast, and they can fly! I ended up scrunching up the footer thing at the end of the bed and using it to block the gap. Definitely the kind of place where you wear thongs in the shower. To top it off, the smell of cigarette smoke and weed was coming through our door all night, from our neighbour in the next room, reaking havoc with my asthma. They offer a free breakfast, but my wife wasn’t interested in eating here. We were glad to get out of there.

Vi boede på dette motel for 2 år siden, det var slidt dengang, men rent og funktionelt og ikke i ringe stand. Her 2 år ser det ikke ud til at der er blevet gjort noget for at forbedre tilstanden i mellemtiden. Der råd i træværk, plettet på gulvtæppet, mug i badeværelset osv. Jeg synes prisen pr. Nat var en tand for høj i forhold til tilstanden. Personalet var dog meget venlige og hjælpsomme.

They say you get what you pay for and thankfully all we wanted was a comfortable bed to sleep in and anice how shower. We got both, but I have to comment about the huge job that lays ahead to fix the pavers on the driveways.

The property is badly in need of a makeover . Outside area looking in poor condition. Bed was clean and comfortable, all needs an update . Staff (only saw one staff member) friendly.

We were disappointed about the overall condition of the property. We used to live in Armidale and remember this motel in excellent condition. The surrounds are unkept, the dinning was very limited- not what was advertised. The condition of the bathroom was very poor- mould, soap scum in the bath and broken hairdryer and bath surrounds. The bed was comfortable, the shower hot and when called to bring towels, as none had been left, the manager was prompt. Unfortunately we will not recommend this property nor will we be staying here again. We have a large family funeral in the next few weeks and will not recommend the Deer Park Motel.

As stated in numerous previous reviews, owners are sour unhappy flogs. Give this place a massive miss. Way better places in town. I recommend the elite motor inn. Fantastic staff and awesome rooms, right in the heart of town.

I picked this place because it was pet friendly and wasnt expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised to see it nicely updated, very clean and the cutest friendly deer only a few metres away from my room. I only wish i had more time to stay to feed them.
