A gorgeous location and pleasant enough stay but sadly didn’t quite hit expectation. Some of the staff we encountered appeared either tired or fed up and not overly bothered about valuing their clients. Not necessarily the fault of those on the restaurant front line, but it was clear there weren’t enough staff on duty and service and at times attitude was not to a standard we’d hope for when on vacation - especially in such a beautiful place.

Mauvaise expérience

Il y a des points négatifs à savoir avant de réserver ! Le premier est pas des moindres c’est l’isolation dans les chambres, nous avons eu un voisin ultra bruyant, musique, parle fort et en haut parleur avec son telephone, porte qui claque, réveil qui sonne pendant 2 min non stop à 5h30 du matin ! Ensuite c’est la guerre pour trouver une place de parking, obligé d’aller se garer très loin ! Les points positifs : Hotel le plus proche du début du parc et des navettes, c’est un super emplacement. La deco de la chambre est sympa.

Great place to stay for your Grand Canyon visit.

Was worried about no A/C but this wasn’t an issue as the nights get cool. The place is old so bring a charger that can charge multiple items. Wildlife viewing was amazing…elk right in the parking lot!! Restaurant at hotel had good food!

Übernachten am Rand des Grand Canyons

Was für ein wunderbarer Ort direkt am Grand Canyon! Es war gemütlich im Zimmer, das Personal freundlich und beim Frühstück sehr freundlich und lustig. Wir bleiben nächstes Mal länger. Quellwasser kann man kostenlos auffüllen, parken war überhaupt kein Problem.

The front desk attendant was wonderful, I was a bit early and she found a way to work it out. I really appreciated her efforts. What a wonderful place to stay while in the Park. I would love to go back.

Awesome Bright Angel

Grand canyon is amazing, hotel room was great, quiet and clean and comfortable even without air con. Great big fan and windows that open too. The bar on site Fred Harvey knocked up some great food and cocktails. Please avoid El Trovor cocktail bar, service appalling, was told to drink my cocktail in the reception area!!

Quelle déception

L'accueil a été plus que moyen. Aucun effort pour parler un américain comprehensible. En réservant la chambre nous pensions avoir un lit queen size mais quelle déception en entrant dans la chambre : un lit petit pour 2 personnes. Pour 2 jours et pour le prix on peut s'attendre à mieux. La taille de la chambre : pas possible de laisser nos 2 valises ouvertes. Il fallait les renfermer. J'ai demandé à changer de chambre et là encore un accueil plus que moyen et une réponse négative. Nous sommes déçus car pour un si bel endroit et pour le prix la prestation n'est pas à la hauteur.

Historic Gem 💎

Bright Angel Lodge was an ideal location right on the Rim trail and had the best accommodations with restaurant amenities after a long day of driving. Can't recommend this place enough, a Historic Lodge with iconic views and Grand Canyon backdrop.

Grand Canyon stay

We were allowed to check-in early which was a huge help since this was just one leg of our hiking adventure. Jeff from SD was *incredibly* helpful at the front desk, aiding us in securing a dinner reservation at the Arizona Steakhouse. The room was fantastic, but the bed was uncomfortable :/
