Lovely looking chateaux from the outside- great staff . Nice pool and spa . Unfortunately the inside of the property doesn’t have the character remaining in most of the rooms , and some of the decor is odd and not in keeping with the standard of finish I would expect in such an elegant building . Chateau de Citeaux was my favorite place to stay on our trip the the French wine regions. The location in Mersault is perfect for people who want to bike the Rte de Grand Cru, hike and walk among the vineyards. The walk into “town” is 5 min. The staff at Chateau was super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Our room (16) was big with a lovely balcony overlooking a vineyard. The bathroom was well-equipped with amenities and a large shower. I enjoyed access to the pool and hot tub area in the spa. Our one regret is that we only stayed here 2 nights. Once we arrived we tried to extend our stay, but they were fully booked. We will definitely stay here again and spend more time in Mersault. This Chateau is close to the busier town of Beaune, if you want to do more shopping, wine tasting and tourist activities. We highly recommend Chateau de Citeaux!

Chambre dans les combles surface au dessus 1,80m trop petite, Lit pour une personne adulte trop petit 1,10 ou 1,20m de large, Chaînette de la porte cassée en 2, Clim réversible hors service - bruit de pâle qui tourne bruyamment, Insonorisation du toit non faite lorsqu’il pleut gêne fortement le sommeil, Aération ventilation inexistante ou hors service condensation sur les vitres de la chambre, Pomme de douche qui fuit, Trace de calcaire dans la cuve des WC, Des cheveux sur le sol de la douche, Horaire pour le petit déjeuner limité à 10h30, Obligée de faire une réclamation pour changer de chambre le lendemain aucune proposition de la réception le jour même ni le lendemain. Personnel peu avenant, plus particulièrement la jeune femme avec qui je me suis fâchée pour changer de chambre et la femme du petit déjeuner peu aimable. Établissement fort peu agréable aussi bien en confort ainsi que le personnel fort peu aimable.
