Small, old apartment building, well-maintained, not easy to find from the photo but really right across from the funicular that connects lower Bergamo and the upper city. Shared bathroom with one other room, which was fine; kitchen area--nice to be able to make tea-- and Armando prepared breakfast to order daily; he also made box lunches if requested the day before. Drawbacks include lots of street noise and light from the streetlights (curtains are white, so don't darken the room), making sleep difficult. We had to keep the windows open for air, so the noise came up from below. Location is good for historic sites and shops, near the Piazza Vecchio, but if we visited Bergamo again, I'd opt for a place farther from the main street.
