Trouble at the time of check in

Booked this hotel on Expedia when I got there. Came to know that the hotel is just booked not charged I specially specified 6 people but the room was very small and the hotel eas not cooperating to give extra bed or do something the tv in lounge was not working the hotel lobby staff was very helpful but it was not in there hand

Bodde der bare en natt pga reise videre, men det var en positiv opplevelse. Meget bra rom/lilighet. Rent og pent, eget soverom + sofa som ble til stor dobbelt seng. Fult utstyrt kjøkken. Til å ligge på Ocean Drive var det ikke støy på vårt rom i det hele tatt.

Ne vale veramente la pena

Posizione ideale su Ocean Drive ma lontano dalla confusione: tutto è raggiungibile comodamente a piedi. Siamo stati in questo Hotel dal 18 dicembre al 2 gennaio 2011: tutto corrispondeva esattamente alla descrizione fornita da Expedia ed ai giudizi positivi che avevamo letto anche su Tripadvisor. E' stata una bellissima vacanza e Vi suggeriamo di prenotare in questo Hotel, noi ci siamo trovati benissimo e ci torneremmo di sicuro. La cucina era attrezzata di tutto e quindi è una sistemazione molto valida anche per famiglie che vogliono consumare la colazione o qualche pasto in albergo. Inoltre sono molto utili le lavatrici ed asciugatrici a disposizione gratuita degli ospiti.

A wonderful night

We had a great room on the first floor. Everything was clean and in order. We enjoyed the hot ub on the roof. We were able to walk the shops on Collins St. as well as walk to a nice restaurant, of which there were many, down the street from the hotel. Then after dinner for a stroll along the beach across the street and we had it all to ourselves. The valet service was swift at our departure.

top location on ocean drive

After several stays at SoBe I like this most northern part of ocean drive most. It´s very lively however not as crowded as some more southerly parts. The room are very spacious and have a fully equipped kitchen. Definitely a "will come back" accommodation for me.

Hilton Grande Review

Great location on best part of strip very close to beach and close to many restaruants clubs etc Room has everything needed including full kitchen with cooktop, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, full size fridge, and all kitchen utensils could ever need; Grocery store is walking distance very close; Bed nice to sleep on; updated granite bath and kitchen; Nice room - clean - not expensive furniture but nice; Hotel Staff helpful and courteous; Hotel outside room is small and carpet needs updated etc. No pool; Jaccuzi lounge deck area on roof very small; very small treadmill work out room; Allowed for late and early ck out if availaable; we cked in 4 hours early and cked out 2 hours late; also had beach towels; beach chairs had to be rented by private vendors on beach (thirty dollars a day for 2 chairs and umbrella); I would definately let my widowed mother stay here although my college age kids could not afford it

Great hotel....with one serious flaw

This was a wonderful hotel, in the most convenient part of South Beach. It was clean, quiet, and well maintained. However, we learned upon arrival that the internet was not working and it didn't for the entire 4 day stay. In 2011, one has a right to expect a working internet connection in a hotel. This was an enormous inconvenience, forcing us to leave the hotel at several points in day to search for a connection elsewhere. The staff was very apologetic but it was beyond their control. We learned that a new management company was being hired and they assured us the internet would be working by the end of this month (March 2011). On my next trip to South Beach, I would stay here again..but only upon assurance that the internet service had been changed and was fully functioning.

Hilton Grand Vacation Suites at South Beach-Miami

Upon arrival, the elevator was not working and we were on the 4th floor and we found a huge live roach in our room. Checking in and anything at the front desk was eeeexxxxxttttrrrreeemmmlllyyy slow. Everytime we requested a taxi at the front desk we were told it would be quicker to get one on the street.

Perfect location for a nice hotel

The hotel is in a very good position (not need for car to go around in South Beach). Service is perfect. Nice big suite with kitchen. We got a perfect assistance for our baby (baby bed). I will go again in that hotel !

Meget tilfreds med dette hotellet. God og rask service, fantastisk beliggenhet og rene rom. Heisen går lit tregt, men hotellet har bare fire etasjer. Kan absolutt anbefale hotellet til de som skal feriere på South Beach.

Hilton in the heart of South Beach....

Stayed here after a cruise for one night and wanted to be close to Lincoln Road and the beach. This hotel had all we were looking for. I had always wanted to stay in one of the Miami Art Deco buildings and this fit the bill. Great front porch to sit on and people watch the South Beach street scene. Or, if you want a little privacy you can catch some rays on the compact decks up top adjacent to the fitness room and whirlpool. Music is piped in to all public spaces, but they have a great playlist. Some might find it annoying, but they probably wouldn't be staying in South Beach if they did. We had a one-bedroom suite for my wife and I and our 21 year old son. We got the bedroom and he got the sofa. Both of us were very comfortable. While we were there for only one night, the kitchen facilities in each room would make this ideal for an extended stay. Only two small problems: we were on the first floor in the back, which backs onto an alley, so you do get some alley noise - trash pick up, etc., but that's to be expected. And the wireless internet, while free, seemed painfully slow. They have valet parking or you can street park (if you can find a space) and save a few coins. You can feed the meter with cash or credit card for up to 8 hours at a time. Parking is free between 3 and 9 a.m. Again, this may be annoying to some, but they probably shouldn't be coming to South Beach.

This hotel was excellent!!! Right across the beach, sevice was excellent, parking to expensive recommend you park at the meter. walking distance to Lincoln road, collin ave, espana way. would recommend to everyone.

Great Location,

We spent a week here in a one bedroom, perfect location, though no parking, have to use a parking garage around the corner. Kitchen helps to reduce cost, if you want to prepare breakfast or a snack. There is no pool, but there is a jacuzzi on the roof. Right across from the beach, right on the Crazy Southbeach strip, if you want to come down and enjoy the night life, clubing etc very convienient. We would stay again.

Less than I expected

When booking Hilton hotels I have high expectations. However this hotel fell very short of our expectations. It is relatively expensive and you get little in return except that the beach is across the street. The interior has been remodeled but not a real professional job, you can still see paint smears on the tile. The room carpet was absolutely filthy. Our white socks were black within minutes of walking on the carpet. The walls are thin and you can hear things for a long ways. Friday night my family was awakened 3 times all throughout the night by drunken people hollering and doors being agressively slammed (or broken down?). Our room had a great view of brick walls next door... No food or room service on site. No pay per view tv. They do not make beach chairs available like many other hotels do. The internet was so slow it was virtually useless. The elevator is tiny, we could not fit a stroller and 2 adults in it. It was a frustrating 3 nights there. The general look of the room was nice and air worked very well however it doesn't make up for all the other shortcomings. Will never return.
