Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. Great location in the historic senter. Close to restaurants, shoping and the beach. The service at the hotel was great. They speak english. We had suit. Comfortable beds, different pillows witch is great. Had payed for a room with breakfast. You could select different dishes from a menue. Delishes. Can recomend this hotel.

L'hôtel est très bien mais très mal situé. Une rue peu recommandable où déambulent junkies, SDF et des détritus...L'hôtel disposent de plusieurs endroits en plein air et pourtant nous sommes obligés de fumer dans la rue qui n'est vraiment pas rassurante. D'ailleurs la porte d'entrée est systématiquement fermée et la réception nous ouvre pour entrée sortir. Faut il avoir bien peu de considération pour ses clients pour les contraindre ainsi à fumer et être importunés. Si l'hôtel ne disposait pas d'espace en plein air je pourrais le comprendre mais il y a plein d'endroits pour fumer sans importuner.

Traditional house turned into with a very nice bar/restaurant. Service is great, always ready to solve any concerns or issues, including the change of room once we missed to realize that we got a room at the fourth level without elevator, which is stated on the hotel description, but not at the time we selected the room. To be fair, the views and privacy from the upper level were great, and we had jacuzzies and swimming pool terrace steps away from our room. The problem was that I was visiting with my 78 y/o mom, who really appreciated being moved to a ground level room without extra charge. I recommend starting the day as early as possible and be back before sunset if you want to walk around. There is a lot of police around, but it's strongly recommended to use taxis or Uber to go back to the hotel after dark. Staff if very friendly and attentive. They provide great recommendations and tips to get the most of visiting Santa Marta.

Nice hotel in the old town with a historical look and feel. Room was very clean, wifi worked well, breakfast was good and everyone tried to make my stay memorable, even preparing me a sandwich for breakfast when I had a tour that started before the breakfast time. The rooms have a rustic feel (not modern), in line with the style of the hotel. The area around the hotel looks quite run down though, it only starts getting better 2 blocks away. Restaurant was good and accommodating.

I love the facilities. I was not so crazy about the surrounding area. You have to walk about 10 min to get to the plaza and the area that is more active. This city has a great deal of vacant commercial properties and folks hanging out. During the evening I suggest you take a cab to enhance your safety.

Safety is a major concern at this hotel given its location. I would not arrive/leave the hotel unless you take a taxi. I was truly shocked given the rating of the hotel. This is a fine hotel, but don’t expect 4 star quality or safety.

Nice property with great presentation but a number of service-related negatives that affected our enjoyment and willingness to recommend: (1) Charged full price for happy hour drinks - we didn’t realise until receipt for room charges was emailed to us after we had left, (2) Over-priced hotel-affiliated taxis are parked right at the front door, and will literally give you a hard time if you call an Uber or regular taxi, (3) Night concierge treated my wife and mother-in-law like they were prostitutes when we came back late one night (until he realised they were paying guests), and (4) Restaurant service was a bit hit and miss (eg. having to remind staff about placed drink orders). A fantastic 3 night stay here, October 24. A beautifully renovated hotel. Check-in was great. Fast and easy. The staff speak Spanish and English. We had a suite which was spacious for a family of 4. The main bedroom is separated from the area where the kids slept. Comfy beds, balcony over the pool, and a huge bathroom. TV in both rooms kept the kids happy! The pools are lovely with 3 options of pool! The bar and restaurantares great. Service is impeccable, and the food and drink were lovely. Included in the price was a free breakfast, which was very good. And there's very good free Wi-Fi. The locationn is great and very central. 5 minute walk to the seafront and beach. Be careful at night at the area can be a bit sketchy. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I'd come back here for sure.
