Struggled to find reception at first but it was in the Mexican cafe next door, staff were attentive, friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. First room was lovely, clean, it is a very old quirky building which I love but some may prefer more modern. We went out for the evening and didn’t return until 1am - when we found out our TV wasn’t working properly, I contacted the number on the info and they sent someone straightaway to sort out and then changed our room - we ended up in the suite with four poster bed - beautiful character period room and again staff were friendly and super helpful. Would definitely stay again if needed to and thank you again to the staff for being so accommodating.

Hotel doesn’t have a bar, but you’re in the middle of Hitchin! And the rooms are generally quite good value for money, some of the housekeeping could be better the Venetian blinds in my room were filthy.

Beautiful room, lovely bathroom. Service was excellent and really helpful and accommodating. Was my boyfriend’s birthday celebration and they gave us a complimentary bottle of wine which was so nice. Great location. Parking too which is great in Hitchin. Loved there was a kettle and tea facilities. Will definitely stay again.

Very happy with Villare

Check in was a bit bizarre having to go to the eating outlet on the street but it worked ok. The chap was extremely helpful and carried the bags to the room. The room itself didn't seem to have hanging space but we found a deep cupboard with ironing gear, hairdryer ect and there was also a hanging rail. Bathroom was a bit cramped but everything worked fine. Slept well and car park was excellent.

Cheap and cheerful but useful town centre location and easy free parking. A bit dated, and front door wasn’t secure but otherwise no complaints. Did what I needed for a quick overnight.

It was a last min booking and the junior double bridal suite was extremely nice and spacious with a huge bath so my partner was happy! Very big and had a fridge too. I did ask if we could possibly stay in the same room as we had a booking for the following day. We did stay in the same room the next day which was very nice without any extra charges. Overall happy with a fantastic sleep in the king bed.

Room was ok -no problem with that, but not happy at all with the choice for breakfast. Was told there was no mushrooms, black pudding or tomatoes. Also the breakfast was not hot enough and no fruit juice. We decided to forego breakfast on the 2nd day and went to Weatherspoons All in all we were not happy with the service and would request a small refund

We had a short break at the hotel and we would recommend staying here. The rooms are spacious and clean with the convenience of being in the centre of Hitchin. The staff cannot do enough for you and we would book to come to the hotel again.
