I rarely write reviews unless it’s excellent enough for me to wish this hotel the best and receive a great rating or in this case, not worth to the point that I hope no one else spends a cent on. I’ll point out the good and bad. I had an absolute fantastic experience with check in and front desk, they have been warm the entire time and helpful. However, walking inside the hotel, the sink was extremely small, water pressure was barely there, and the “clean towels” had boogers on them. I was able to pass by the first night by using the other towel that seemed more clean on the outside at least because it was late and I didn’t want to make a huge deal. On the second day, i left 3 dollars on the bed for room service so they can clean my room better but found out they did not clean my room, however they did clean my friends’ who was next door. I left around 9 am and came back around 1 am, the room cleaner had more than enough time to clean. It was late so I didn’t bother to call front desk. However it got annoying on the third day when they still haven’t cleaner my room. I had to inform the service lady that i want my room cleaned on the morning of the 4th day, and then my room was finally cleaned. On the 5th night, around 12 am when I came back I was informed that we should wait outside because there was someone inside the hotel that they were trying to get rid off, which the body guard and front desk handled professionally. My complaint is about the rooms and cleanliness.

Very fond of Figs!
Really glad to have discovered the Hotel Figueroa, and very glad my friend and I chose it for our four-night stay in LA to attend a conference. The excellent location, comfortable room, and obliging staff were just what we needed, plus it's cool to stay in a place that is almost a century old!

Cramped and dim
When you’re paying almost $500 a night, you expect there to be more than a dingy lamp, that’s far from the door, to light the entire room. The room was cramped, had no sound barrier between it in the hallway, and there wasn’t even a proper bathroom door. Poor value. The only reason to stay here is the convenient location and the amazing shared space on the ground floor, which is beautiful, and well suited to working in. That said, if you want a good cup of coffee there? Don’t bother.

Do not stay here. They stole $500 for a fine for smoking or vaping and will not respond back to my claim that I was not. Unbelievable invasion of privacy while paying too much for a small room in the first place. Wow, just wow.

Beware of extreme high rating.
The location is prime, but the condition is horrendous. The actual building must be at least 100 years old, and the dilapidated conditions are apparent. The reviews on misleading, with its misleading high ratings. This is a 2.5 star at best.

Very nice, but no sleep
The staff was great. The hotel itself is cool/trendy in DTLA. The breakfast is solid- although, pay attention to your itemized receipt as they automatically include 20% gratuity and another small % to help pay for staff's healthcare, but they include an additional tip line on their receipt that isn't itemized. Also, if you're a firm bed sleeper, look elsewhere. I got maybe two hours of sleep on the soft bed that was offered.

Perfect place to stay in LA
The hotel is perfect for location if you are attending anything at Crypto.com arena. Very walkable to LA Live. Hotel felt secure, looked well kept and had nice decor overall. With many hotels nowadays they did have a lot of fees and deposits, but it’s expected in many hotels like LA. Overall I would stay again if needing to stay overnight for an event in downtown

Great but bring earbuds
It was a clean hotel and great bar! The rooms and bed were amazing. The only complaint was thin walls - we could hear the full conversation from the next door.
