The hotel was very cute and well maintained. The biggest draw back is its location right in front of the presidential palace and the Zocolo. There was a major protest March for international women’s day that was directly down the street in front and ended at the Zocolo. This March had thousands of people in it and was completely bonkers. We were told “there will be a women’s arch in the 8th”. We were not told what it would be like. It was chaos. No cars, taxis, Ubers could even get close to the hotel. Getting in and out of the hotel was a disaster due to the safety shutters, which are akin to hurricane shutters, being down. The employees of the hotel failed to convey to people who are not from there the enormity of this March and what exactly would be happening. If I had know, we would have switched hotels before that day. Lastly, the next day(the day we were leaving) there was another protest with blocked streets again. My flight was at 1 pm but I had to leave by 6:30 am just to be able to get out of there. This is a cute hotel and very walkable but be aware that a lot of protests happen in front of it due to where the presidential palace is located exactly behind.

Bring Earplugs
Noisy, noisy, noisy! Imagine coming off a 12 hour flight from Europe and wanting nothing more than to SLEEP! Outside our room the drummers in the square banged incessantly all afternoon and evening toll 10.30 pm. Unbearable

Suddenly overpriced
I have been several times but this time was far too expensive. The restaurant for dinner is now way over my price range. I also learned to get your free deli sandwiches before you check out. They are no longer free after that point. For as much money I have dropped there over the years you would think they could extend that courtesy.

Will be back!!
We went for the very first time to Mexico City and this was the perfect location. Staff were all amazing. We were celebrating my son's 25th birthday. They surprised him with a beautiful message and cake. The concierge was super helpful in recommending tours for us to enjoy. To top it off, all the food and drinks at the cafe were included. Loved this place and will certainly be back. Thank you for making our time there spectacular.

We loved staying here. It was the in the perfect locations. Everyone was extremely helpful and nice. Fernanda arranged tours and transportation for us. She made sure we had a great trip! The restaurant upstairs was amazing and we loved the food counter downstairs where we could grab a complimentary drink and snack while we sat and talked! All of the little conveniences, the hotel had to offer made it an amazing experience!
