Horrible hotel experience

It was not what I expected, we paid for a 4stars hotel and I think it wasn’t , the personal trying as bad , just because we bought or hotel with another company.It was or anniversary and we plan this vacation and, then give us a double bed , and they make us pay more to be able to have a king bed. But I so how they took care of their guests just because they booked direct with them. They make me feel cheep because I booked with hotel.com . The hotel was feeling apart

Our couple stay

Things were falling apart and not fixed, for example pool was missing a lot of tiles. Food was actually very good in each restaurant. The only issue with the food was the limited time to eat. I would assume that I could eat when I wanted to. The alcohol selection was poor. I am trying to do low carbs and basically only drink beer. I was looking for a beer that tastes good like Busch light or Ultra and low in carbs but they had none. The staff for the most part was absolutely amazing. Always cleaning and taking care of the guests. The events were fun, some much better than others, but understandable when trying to please so many different types of people. The worst part was that when we arrived we were told that we qualified for a free upgrade. We did not need this but we said sure and thanks, however when we checked out we were charged an additional $500. Total scam and I have told everyone not to go to this resort due to this scam.

Awesome property, Awesome staff, amazing beach!!

I’ve stayed at many all inclusive hotels and Dreams Sands was by far the best. Super friendly staff and amazing beach. All the restaurants and buffets were excellent. Lots of night time entertainment. Clean room with very comfortable beds. Best beach in Cancun. We will definitely return!!

The rooms were nice and clean with beautiful view of the beach. Comfortable bed but pillows were very hard and thick. Nespresso coffee available in the room and minibar was included. We had to change our room after first night because it was a connecting door between us and the next room and the neighbors were partying and waking us in the middle of the night. We had to call the reception to come and tell them to be quiet. In the morning we asked for a room with no connecting door and the reception changed it for us. The food and alcohol at the hotel is average and of cheap quality, especially the beef was ”glued beef” and the steak had very soft texture and didn’t taste beef. The breakfast buffet was good and good coffee. Good coffee is hard to find in Cancun and Tulum. Beautiful beach and nice pools. Yoga sessions by the beach in the mornings and nice gym. Friendly staff and good location and easy to take the local bus to Cancun centre.

Staff is great, grounds are great, room was disappointing bed is stiff pillows are hard and to thick, toilet wouldn’t flush, shower tub clog, it rained one of the nights and water was dripping from the ceiling in the buffet area.

Not what I expected. Very small hotel, limited availability for the dinners. The organization of the dinners were not the best. The staff were very nice though. The area of it was convenient, it was around everything but I probably won’t stay here again.

Very nice property, nice pools and good restaurants. Restaurants are open almost all day long, and the food was delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A lot of activities, so we were never bored. No hidden fees, it’s really all inclusive, water, drink, snacks… the most beautiful thing about this place is the beach. It’s very clean white sand beach and the ocean is calm. This was my fourth vacation in Cancun, and it is the best experience.

This is my second time staying at this location, and I absolutely love the beach and the view. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that I feel the quality of the food has declined over the years (14 years). The first time I stayed at a Dreams Resort, the food had better authenticity and offered more traditional Mexican options, rather than feeling as commercialized as it does now. However, one improvement over the years is that the sales department has significantly toned down their approach. They no longer pressure guests into the “90-minute” (often 4-6 hours) presentations for vacation memberships. Overall, our experience was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and embraced the beach life every moment we were there.

The only downside was that the beach gets sunny after 10:30 am or so due to the height and location of the hotel. Otherwise, amazing location and stay.

A large ethnic group was allowed to take over restaurants and the beach area for their meetings (microphone and amplifier) basically ruining the vacation for the rest of us. They moved our personal property three times and threw it on the ground.
