The property is a little ran down and in need of some modernisation for example room interiors and pool need a few new tiles and grouting. Overall very relaxing, however, I would think twice about returning due to the cost and standard of the place. Especially how we had to pay extra for a walk in shower due to my partner being pregnant.

Check in was very efficient with a little tour to help navigate our way around. Staff very friendly and helpful.Tasty cooked breakfast options plus fresh fruit dried fruit yogurt cereals and pastries. Spa facilities were lovely albeit the pool in February was quite cold.

Enjoyable stay

Lovely, friendly staff. Took the dog and there was a bowl, blanket and biscuit waiting for her. Pool is to die for - warm and inviting. Dined out so can't comment on the evening meal, but breakfast was tasty. They allowed us to eat in the snug with the dog and even gave her a sausage, which was appreciated. The only negative I can think of, is that the pillows were on the hard side. The room was spacious and clean.

Excellent hotel made even better by a free upgrade. It is located in the Town of Helmsley great parking as they have their own underground car park. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We were given a free upgrade to a poolside suit which was fantastic. The hotel itself is very well maintained and feels very comfortable. We used the hotel bar which was well staffed comfortable and drinks were reasonably priced. We had breakfast in the hotel which was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. Will certainly go again.

Spa hotel in North Yorkshire

Lovely hotel in the very quaint Helmsley - our suite with a balcony overlooking the pool and hot tub was fabulous and spacious. All the team were friendly, efficient and courteous and very responsive. Complimentary parking and plenty of spaces was very welcome- always a plus .

A Perfect Anniversary Escape in Serendipity – Every Detail Considered We stayed in Room 15, Serendipity, to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary, and the experience was flawless from start to finish. Dinner was superb — beautifully presented with outstanding flavours — and followed by a surprise delivery of celebratory truffles. Serendipity offered direct poolside access via a private staircase, allowing us to step straight out into the sunshine for a relaxing afternoon with cocktails — the Hugo Spritz was a standout. Every member of staff we encountered was warm, professional, and attentive, and the spa provided just the right atmosphere to unwind. The personal touches really made us feel celebrated, and it’s clear the team takes genuine pride in the guest experience. We wouldn’t hesitate to return — and we’ve already recommended Feversham to friends looking for a special getaway. Thank you to the entire team for a truly memorable stay.

Excellent hotel. Room was clean and spacious and comfortable. All staff were top notch. Facilities were wonderful, especially the pool and spa area. Perfect location being a very brief walk to the village centre. Beautiful walks nearby. The castle and abbey very close too. Lots to do and see in the nearby area. Best place we’ve stayed so far!
