This is comfy and traditional inn. We enjoyed Onsen with My.Fuji view. I really appreciate for kind staff took care of the problem when we checked out.
Onsen felt like it wasn't real onsen and all the baths were lukewarm and not hot. Room was non smoking but smelt like cigarettes real bad like somebody was just here a day ago chain smoking. Actually bought room deodorizer for cigarettes and left it there. Parking was infested with weeds that sticks to your clothes took me 20 min to remove. Meal was part of the reservation but that wasnt communicated clearly to me. They ended up calling me asking me if im coming down for dinner twice even when i told them i dont need meal since already had plans. Not a big deal but stay tax could only be paid in cash. Out of all the hotels i stayed at japan this place is the only place that said cash only. I wonder what they would have said if i told them i dont have cash. With that in mind i dont think they were being truthful and was just being lazy.
The hotel seems like it has some history but the proper investment is not being made. Could be better if they have the right mindset.
Stunning view of oceanfront atop cliff and, the view from outdoor onsen (gender separated) was absolutely breathtaking.. seeing the ocean splashing against rocks just few feet away as you bathe watching the sunset.. a must experience for any avid hot spring fans. Area doesn’t offer many eatery choices, but if you’re driving a rental, there will be more options in both directions on highway 136. Convenience store within walking distance, a lifesaver for last minute food shopping for families with younger children
