Great stay!

My family and I had a really good time at this hotel! The staff was super nicer and let us check in early with a free upgrade. The restaurant at the hotel has amazing food as well. We enjoyed going down to the beach for a bit and then hopped over to the pool. There really isn’t anything to do in that area of ES so if you want a low key stay , this is the spot!

Great place to stay

This hotel was probably the nicest of the hotels in this area. It is located way off the beaten path nestled along the famous black sand beaches. Most like about hotel Estero is the safari like setting with a few animals that can be viewed throughout the property. Another great aspect are the many relaxation spots throughout the property. We also like the many swimming pools and were allowed guest/family to visit without issues. The food at the restaurant was ok and there wasn’t many choices nearby so we had to drive quite a ways to find the good food. The only other hassle was coming back in late, and having to find someone to open the gate for parking.

As in many properties, there are things to like and to complain about. we will mentioned a couple of things noticeable for othres to consider, On this stay were a group of 8 adults and 1 child and 2 rooms. We were not given the password for wifi. It was until later we learned from dinner waiter we should have. They will give 1 password for person and only individually-inconveniently. The AC in one room was not working and it took 2 hours, in the mid afternoon heat (95 degrees F) and high humidity to fix. The tech a ill mannered and ill tempered man, was trying to blamed us customers saying someone playing with clicker will make AC Malfunction. It just saw happens it needed freon, which he ended up having to do and we were very displeased. a few other little things, but in all we give it a 2.5 stars this visit They should always cater and be nice to visitors, never blamed them for something, specially when it is not true!

I like that the property was more like a nature retreat with 5 pools and hotel rooms and right across the street from the beach. The hotels restaurant is right across the street and serves delicious food and drinks at the bar. The only “downside” that I hope Expedia and the property will fix is the free airport shuttle. There is no free airport shuttle but they have a private driver you can hire for $35 each way. The driver has a small sedan so anything more than 2 ppl I would suggest find alternative transportation. They have uber and you might be able to get an uber driver from airport to property but not from property to airport because it’s 30 mins away from town/airport so plan accordingly. The property has lush plants and trees all over as well as parrots and monkeys you can see! The waves are very big and rough at the beach which is black sand by the way so @swimming wouldn’t be advisable but still a beautiful site to see and you can definitely go down there and get your lower body wet without risking yourself. Aside from the shuttle issue and the way it’s listed on Expedia this property is great and I will return! Ask for room 21 if you are a couple. Great private balcony/deck overlooking the ferocious Pacific Ocean. The sound of the waves is beautiful. There’s also security on site 24/7 which is great. There is no nightlife at the property so if you are looking to go out while staying at this property it may not be for you. Check out “TravelGuruVT on YouTube for more
