Excellent

Two night's stay, checking in early was not a problem, which suited very much. Room was small but comfortable and clean. Ensuite comfortable size with spacious shower. Breakfast excellent and very flexible, supposed to start at 8.30, was going for a walk on first morning at 7.15 and there were people in breakfast room, walk cut short. Two observations, not criticisms: Rashers smoked, why has this become the trend in very many places now. Personally I don't like smoked meat of any kind. Towels changed after first night, I had left them on the towel rack hoping to indicate that I was happy to use them again, saving water, electricity and the environment from the use of detergents and fabric softeners - something that I think is very important.

Highly recommended

We were travelling to do a parkrun. They were very flexible with breakfast times so we could have something before we needed to set off. They even accommodated our friends who were staying elsewhere and didn’t get such good service, friendly service.

Smelly

The room was very hot and had a strong smell. The lady opened the window when we arrived, I guess the smelled caught her nose as well. I had emailed the property beforehand and asked about a to-go-breakfast since we wanted to get an early start, but it I was told they could only set out cereal for us. We changed our plans around so we could stay for breakfast, their menu stated that a to-go-breakfast was available upon request….seriously?! A bit disappointing!

Well worth staying

Stunning quiet location, friendly owner & good off-road parking. Walking distance close to a few pubs for a few beers & a bite to eat. A good lay over spot whilst travelling.

I had a fantastic stay at Murphy's Farmhouse. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the room comfortable and spotless. Breakfast was delicious. And there are a couple of pubs a short walk down the road.

We liked the homey feeling of the lodgings, and the staff (owners?) we encountered were friendly and efficient. Nice location, maybe think about extending that final parking spot out front. It was a tight squeeze.

Murphy's Farmhouse definitely has that farmhouse vibe. A lovely space, with a parlour (living room) to spend time in and a tranquil, but lively breakfast room. The staff was so very nice from check in to departure, so good at bringing me the coffee refills that I need first thing in the morning. I really liked the feel of the place, like a family home with many antiques and treasures, cozy and inviting. My room was perfect for me as a solo traveller, there was a slight smell of hay wafting through the open window, which was welcome. The breakfasts were fantastic, one morning I had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs...delicious. It was nice to converse with other guests to find out where they had been and where they were going that day. I wandered down to the local put for a pint and l bit of dinner, which was delicious and the patrons friendly. It was nice to stay in farmland, very pastoral. I explored Inch Beach which was beautiful and the town of Dingle, which was quaint, colourful and cool. I would highly recommend Murphy's Farmhouse! and outstanding place :).

The property & house are great if you like an old farmhouse feel (we loved it!). Just make sure you realize check-in is after 5:30pm and when you arrive, you call the number to have someone let you in. This worked just fine for us and was prompt without issue. But it may be inconvenient for some. We had called to let them know our estimated arrival time.

Owner was very accommodating- we were coming in late. Place is beautiful and quaint and just lovely! We would love to visit again and for longer next time! Breakfast was also delicious!
