Lovely weekend away
A beautiful stay in the delightful Browns House. It’s furnished so beautifully. Loved the surrounding countryside. We were greeted by the beautiful Jasper the Labrador which made the stay extra special. Would highly recommend this place.

Beautiful historic cottage.
This was a beautiful cottage in a superbly quiet location only minutes from Clare. Everything that we could possibly need for a comfortable stay were supplied, including a fridge full of food, toiletries in the bathroom and a freshly laid fire for us to light ready for the cooler evening. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot. We'd definitely stay there again and recommend Brown's House to friends.

Great cottage getaway.
If you like an experience back into an old world gone by, you'll love this cottage with it's large bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and slightly more cosy lounge.
A stay for the romantic couple, with the open fire, beautiful surroundings and the feeling of quiet isolation.
Found plentiful breakfast supplies in the fully equipped kitchen. Fabulous large claw bath in the bathroom.
An easy drive to the wonderful wine district of Clare Valley finishes off a fabulous stay.

Quiet cottage getaway
Lovely two bedroom cottage on the outskirts of Clare Valley SA great for families, we stayed overnight on our way to Wilpena pound, and it was very comfy and homely a good mix of original building and modern conveniences. Lots of little touches like chocolates in the fridge, cute chicken ceramic egg cups good breakfast provisions, lots of cooking utensils.

Quiet, relaxing, old world charm.
Very tranquil, unobtrusive, traditional indulgence. I recommend this place to escape the stress of work life and to recalibrate the batteries.

Cosy cottage getaway
We had a wonderful stay in this superbly renovated workman's cottage (built in 1910) set on a property just out of the town of Clare, SA. On this wet and cool day we were welcomed with an open fire that had been lit by the owner earlier in the day. The furnishings were just lovely - many original pieces and other furniture that suited the cottage. The pressed tin walls and ceiling, and the baltic pine floor were a wonderful feature that added to the ambience.
We read about the history of the place (provided) as we sat in front of the fireplace hugging cups of tea and munching on the chocolate provided by our host.
Although a 2 bedroom cottage, we had the place to ourselves. The kingsize bed was comfy and we had a good night's sleep. The fridge was stocked with local produce for our breakfast - delicious.
We loved this little getaway and will definitely tell others about it.

Lovely peaceful cottage
We had a fantastic stay. The house is completely self sufficient with everything you need (including breakfast) for a quiet getaway. We didn't see anyone else around, apart from the boisterous Labrador in the morning.
The only reason you wouldn't stay here is if you were looking for something in town, but it is only a few minutes drive out of Clare. We loved it. Highly recommended.

Generally good.
No ensuite is a definite negative and bathroom facilities are very average.
Location is lovely and house has old world charm.Great open fire and hearty breakfast although instant coffee was a let down.
