Marrakech is an unique place which I would recommend everyone visit once in their life. It's a west meets Arab/African type of place, leaning more to the latter. Though it's a site to see, at first you'll feel the chaos that is the medina. Narrow streets with merchants lined on each side, people walking through, scooters and motorized bicycles going by and sometimes even donkey drawn carriages with supplies being transported.
Riad Mariana, located only 10 minutes from the city square Jemaa el-Fnaa/Souks, is off a main street, but in a quite neighborhood. We were able to enter the main areas quickly, but also come back to the quiet and serene Riad to get some time off from the bustling streets.
Phillipe and company did their best in providing whatever we needed during our stay, as well as getting us connected with others staying in the Riad to go on an excursion to the Atlas Mountains. Overall, we recommend Riad Mariana for your stay in Marrakech, as it was affordable, clean and comfortable.
