Staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you Luisa for help with taxis and suggestions for restaurants. The location was great, within walking distance of most of the major attractions. The room itself was well appointed if not a bit on the small side. The shower however was large and great. The only thing is there wasn't room for a small desk to work off. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to Rome.

Excellent Service and Location, Minor Room Wear

Great location—close enough to walk to everything we wanted to see, but far enough away from the main tourist crowds to feel relaxed. The manager was extremely nice and helpful; we’d give six stars for the service alone. The only real observation is that parts of the room showed some wear and could use maintenance. For example, the wood (or particle board) around the kitchen faucet was worn and loose, so it was flapping around a bit and the fridge either didn’t close all the way or took a bit to cool items down. Overall, though, the service and convenient yet peaceful location more than made up for these small issues.

Stayed here for 3 nights, very walkable 10-15 mins walk to the Vatican City or to the main shopping area. 10 min walk to closest metro station. Self check in was extremely easy, and Luisa was lovely and welcoming each time we met her. Free tea and coffee facilities in the room and a minibar in the fridge (at extra cost)- we were able to put own drinks in fridge aswell to keep cool. Room was clean and bed was very comfy! Slept in most days because it was soo comfy lol Air conditioning was great and needed in the Roman summer 😅 Shower was fab aswell! 10/10 would recommend, and would stay again if we visit again!

The property was close walk to all tourist attractions and public transportation. We had Room 4 which included a kitchenette. Very helpful for our 2 week stay. There was a deli grocery store just 5 minute walk from this hotel.

Lucia is great - super friendly, attentive and helpful. The hotel is comfortable, the bed was great. Feels like staying at an apartment in an older historic city building. If you are looking for luxury this is not the place for you but if you want a comfortable and safe place to stay that is in walking distance to major city spots but not right in the tourist area then this is for you. It’s very close to the Vatican City, cute places for breakfast around the hotel. Check out Pops diner. Also close to a bus that takes you right to the center of town and 10 min walk to the metro. We really enjoyed our time.

Was a cute property and the staff was great to work with me in my later arrival. My only issue was the AC in my room not working well but to their credit I only told them as I was leaving. Close to the river but a good walk to restaurants. Overall was a good place to stay. I would recommend it

My wife, daughter and myself spent 3 wonderful nights at Luxury on The River in Rome. We walked everywhere. For the Vatican to the Colloseum. The accommodations were wonderful. Looking forward to staying again.
