Good Hotel and restaurant

Large historical building. Friendly, efficient service. Large bedroom, clean, but didn't sleep because room was so uncomfortably hot! Radiators off and fan provided which had on all night which was noisy but couldnt understand why so hot. Slept on top of covers as so hot. However, breakfast lovely and evening meal was exceptional. Convenient, good parking at back and good atmosphere. Would stay again but different room. Not room 108. It was a rainy day so couldnt imagine if a hot day. I think they would have accommodated us if we had told staff but we only stayed for one night after moving daughter into university.

Very good.

Very tidy quiet room, comfortable and well equipped. Good shower and plenty of pressure. Breakfast was pretty good too. Value for money. Would stay again if we were in the area.

Bon hotel au centre de Bala

Bon hôtel Chambre confortable, salle d’eau spacieuse et fonctionnelle Nous étions par contre au 3eme étage, sans sans ascenseur (un peu haut pour les bagages) Petit déjeuner moyen ( pas de choix de jus de fruit…) mais pas cher-parking disponible pratique

Booked in a hurry and missed the detail it is a pub and the rooms are above the pub. Limited parking at the back but there is off street parking so it was ok. The building looks very beautiful from outside and it is well maintained. Rooms were clean and had basic amenities you expect. Unclear pricing for breakfast left a bad taste. Waited for check in as the staff seemed to be busy with pub. I didnt have dinner so cant comment on that, there are many options on thr high street. Rooms are on 3 floors and there is no lift.

Bala jaunt!

Great stay. Staff were great. Food was lovely and reasonably priced. Drinks were reasonable as well at the bar. Shower was great. Location was brilliant.

The building is very characterful and very nice. I only had one meal there, a cooked breakfast, that was not nice at all. Bacon like leather, fatty sausages with tough casings and bits of bone in, the black pudding & hash brown were oozing with fat as if they'd been deep fried. I didn't eat there again. When I tried to have a shower the drainage was so bad the tray overflowed with a torrent of water all over the bathroom floor. I immediately went down to reception to tell them of the problem. the managers response, "yeah it does that". Not only could he not be bothered to fix it, there was no warning when I checked in, nor in the room and no apology after it happened. It seems he's quite happy to let the problem persist, damaging the property and leaving other people to clean up instead.
