My review is going to break out into two parts This was a tale of two experiences with Rivet Stays. We were traveling from out of town to watch a World Cup Game. This location (Fort York Blvd) was right next to the stadium but the room itself was a disaster. We arrived to see a room with various dehumidifying fans running, bags of linens in a closet, an AC unit that did not work and a STRONG odour of marijuana in the air. Arriving before a 7pm kick off I spent about an hour on hold with someone from RivetStays. As helpful as they were I was reaching my exasperation point ready to cancel the stay at this particular building. They offered an equivalent room at another building they managed on Jarvis. The building on Jarvis was LIGHT YEARS better than what was at Fort York. The room was clean, the concierge was helpful and everything worked in the room. In conclusion, would I stay at the Fort York location again? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Would I consider any other property they have? Maybe. But it seems your luck of the draw is subject to chance, and I do not think I could repeat the risk in the future. Shout out to the staff for working with me to remedy the situation, but it definitely soured my experience. At least Ghana beat Panama though. . .

Parking situation was unclear and became a disaster. Some towels were stained and AC did not work in the room. Water drainage is not great. Contacted customer service and was instructed on how to try fixing the AC myself, which also didn't work. Cannot use any amenities like pool, fitness center, etc. Location and balcony were the positive highlights of this property.

Do not stay! This is not an actual hotel, it is some sketchy set up in a very sketchy area, when you get there, there is no way to even distinguish that it is actually a hotel, because it’s not, and it is not advertised as an Airbnb or anything like that, save your money then they have this ridiculous policy, where they won’t let you check in early even if you get there and available, I literally had to book it last minute because I had had a seizure earlier in the day and just needed somewhere to stay for one night before I went back to the hotel the next morning and I literally am exhausted because I’m recovering and they refused to let me into the property and then also refused to refund me, I had travel insurance thankfully, so I will be taking it up with them, but they refused to let Expedia refund me knowing that I had just booked it maybe 30 minutes earlier when they told me that I couldn’t check in, 10 out of 10 do not recommend they do not care about people

Do not book or stay. No signs for Bayview, it was an apt building!! No check in desk, customer service disconnected and hung up on us several times, room was not ready, cleaning lady had not cleaned room as of 6pm. Knocked on door and she was mopping floor, washing and drying clothes, said key in room in top drawer of utensils. Kitchenette was dirty with coffee in coffee maker. Pd for parking and garage was not near by. Requested refund but did not!! Hotels.com was not user friendly. Paid the day we booked versus day of check in! Good luck if you stay.

While the room was very clean, location was great, there were a few issues. Parking was a problem, there was no on site parking and in that area it was difficult to find parking. We had to walk about 700m with our luggage. Also, the beds are very small. They would be ok for younger kids but difficult for 2 adults. All that said, I would stay again. The property itself was great, especially the location. We walked to Liberty Village and the amphitheatre very easily.

The entrance instructions were very helpful. Location was on par for any activity in the south end. Condo was clean, though a few items needed fixing (curtains and fridge door). Overall, a great choice and we would stay again.
