This is our first stay and the bar has been set exceptionally high for anywhere else !
Gill & Ian are fabulous hosts - warm and welcoming and there if you need them, nothing is too much trouble - but they give you the space you need. The lodge is immaculately clean and literally has everything that you might need for a stay. The decor is thoughtful, charming and everything is in superb condition. There’s a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need - a cooker with a hob, air fryer, microwave, fridge, pots, plates, toaster, kettle, cutlery, cheese greater, bowls, glasses, cups, the lid goes on - it’s fantastic. Six seater dining table and lounge area with comfy sofas and chair along with temperature controlled heating. The place is massive -the photos don’t show how big it is. The lodge looks out onto a paddock with 2 horses and a little pony, which is amazing. There’s even a hairdryer and plenty of clean towels and loads of toiletries. They’ve literally tried to think of everything that you could possibly need - loads of what I packed was already here.
Oh and did I mention the indoor private sauna and pool table - Wow !
We had a fabulous stay with our 11 week old border collie and she had her first and the second swim with Ian in the onsite dog swimming pool.
Highly recommend this dog friendly lodge - thank you Gill & Ian - for a wonderful time at your lodge.
