Staff were friendly and efficient. The Hotel had the feeling of being run down, the gardens especially. I visited in 2007 I told my American friend that I was with how nice it would be but I'm sorry it just didn't have the same feel about it as before.

Wifi wasn't working when we were there, and room was not like the pics. Was looking forward to the more original old fashioned looking room. Though obviously a lot of work went into renovating the outside rooms, and the views and gardens were amazing. Breakfast option was expensive.

Lovely hotel ,& grounds

I enjoyed my 3 night stay. Ideal for my needs, close to my customer. Clean room & well tended to. All the staff were very helpful & pleasant. My only complaint was the breakfast was a bit expensive.

Wiltshire at its best

On a sunny day the views and location are delightful. Good restaurant. Very comfortable corner room on first floor with views over the hills and one of the white horses. Easy parking.

A beautiful place , but we thought we were going to stop in this fabulous looking Manor building . Instead I guess we were in a barn renovation. The rooms were clean , but certainly need an update, look dated. Bar and customer facilities all closed early.

Nous n’avons malheureusement pas pu séjourner dans cet hôtel. Notre vol atterrissant à Heathrow vendredi dernier, l’aéroport était fermé toute la journée donc pas possible pour nous de voyager. Nous avons demandé à l’hôtel de comprendre notre désarroi et de faire un geste, nous proposer par exemple de régler une nuit sur les 2. Nous avons eu une fin de non recevoir, très décevant. Pour information, notre loueur de voiture, Rent a car, au vu de cette circonstance exceptionnelle nous a remboursé totalement notre location, alors que l’annulation gratuite n’était plus possible. Donc, quand on veut , on peut!!

Take your own shampoo!

A lovely hotel with great staff, who are a credit to the hotel. The room was nice and although i personally found the bed too soft, my partner slept well. The coffee machine in the reception area was a nice touch. The only negative really is the price of the food in the restaurant - £20 for cauliflower on some mash potato with a bit of veg is steep to say the least. Although we obviously could have found somewhere else to eat, after a long drive and day out, we just wanted to relax. I think if they lower their prices then they may have more customers in their restaurant. Finally, there is no separate shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom - its body wash and shampoo combined. So perhaps take your own shampoo. That said, i would stay again and would recommend this hotel. Next time i would just eat out.
