Great location and price

Great location and accomodation especially for the price! It's located on a main road not far from the beach and close to heaps of other accomodation and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only negative was having to pay extra to use the airconditioning which was still fine. It does get a bit loud during the night

Lovely apartments.

They're in a great location for all of the restaurants and bars in Kalamaki with the beach being a short walk away. Apartments are basic, large and clean. No swimming pool but local hotels let you use theirs. Wifi and safe are free, aircon is €5 a night.

Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo

L'appartamento, posizionato nel pieno centro di Kalamaki, era abbastanza ampio, luminoso e pulito. La titolare è molto gentile, attenta e disponibile. Ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo, per cui lo consiglio di certo.

Settimana trascorsa preso athina,qualità prezzo ok ,vicino apt e aun'ottimo ristorante di nome zakanthi . Ottima base per andare ala città di zante,e recarsi al bananabeach.

Nice outlook, close to beach and near restaurants

Friendly helpful owner/staff, Emailed us before our holiday so she could be there to meet us. Apartments basic but as expected. On first floor - lovely outlook + could see the sea! Thankfully quiet even though v. close to main street. Well located for walking to beach + all facilities in Kalamaki.

Ideal Low Budget Apartment

Nearly everything about this apartment and staff are positive. I had a fantastic time in Zante. My apartment had 4 beds to choose from in two rooms. My bed and pillow were very comfortable. I didn't use the air conditioning as it was the end of September. I just slept naked without any sheets over me. The rooms are spacious. Having a small safe in the room is very reassuring although I felt my property was perfectly safe here. The fridge was excellent having a small freezer section too. The kitchen was fitted with two hobs ( which I did not use as it was quite cheap to eat out ) Plates, cutlery, saucepan, glasses were all provided although the wasn't a bottle opener. Most things that you'd need were available. The shower was very good. The room was kept very clean. Staff were very friendly and mainly helpful. The only negatives were as follows; 1)The apartments at Athina are split into three blocks. I stayed in room 2 which is joined to the shops on the main road. The main drawback to this room was that the air vent fan from the supermarket was working all night. The airt vent was directly above my room and room 1 so once I was awake at 3am etc it was difficult to get back to sleep because of the noise. 2) The male member of staff gave me some duff information re where to pick up my tour bus which meant me missing my bus and having to catch a taxi to the port for my boat trip. Apart from this the staff were excellent

vicino al mare, pulito e personale simpatico

il residence è carino perché abbastanza curato e pulito. a disposizione degli ospiti c'è materiale informativo sul luogo ed anche una piccola biblioteca con libri in varie lingue. le stanze sono abbastanza confortevoli. è situato in un punto strategico, c'è un market dietro l'angolo.

Brilliant location, clean quiet hotel.

Had a great time in room 13, hotel is in a brilliant location. 5 mins from the airport and lots of quiet shops, pubs and restaurants close by. A short walk from the rear of the hotel is the stretch of beach which is really clean and quiet. They even have a safe close car park at the side of the apartments. Will be back. Air conditioning is ice cold and works very well.

Posizione dell'hotel ottima. Certo bisogna noleggiare qualcosa ma in pochi minuti si raggiunge tutti i paesini. Anche se a 5 km dall'aeroporto non si sentiva alcun tipo di rumore. Le camere sono molto spaziose e luminose, forse un po' troppo, la porta d'ingresso lasciava entrare troppa luce la mattina. A parte questo il personale è splendido e molto accogliente, ci siamo trovati benissimo.

Μια φθηνή λύση

Το δωμάτιο ανταποκρίνονταν στην χαμηλή τιμη, το προσωπικό ήταν φιλικό με καθημερινή καθαριότητα στα δωμάτια. Στα αρνητικά ότι όλες οι πόρτες ειναι συρόμενες και κάποιες απο αυτές δεν δούλευαν "αθόρυβα"

Disponibili,gestione della struttura da rivedere

Abbiamo alloggiato all'Athina per 8 notti. Prezzo molto vantaggioso anche in alta stagione. Appartamentini abbastanza accoglienti, anche se la struttura é un po' vecchia e avrebbe bisogno di manutenzione, specialmente per quanto riguarda gli infissi. Ci hanno accolto con grande gentilezza, ma ciò che ci ha maggiormente infastidito è il modo in ciò vengono fatte le pulizie delle camere.. Le signore delle pulizie vengono tutti i giorni, tranne la domenica, e dovrebbero cambiare la biancheria ogni due giorni...il problema è che noi abbiamo dovute in due occasioni far notare che non avevano cambiato niente oppure non avevano messo shampoo e bagno doccia nuovi. Piccole cose ovviamente, però non é mai piacevole andarsi a lamentare alla reception per questioni del genere. Inoltre la biancheria non era mai particolarmente pulita, con macchie, capelli o aloni... Quindi staff disponibile una volta sollecitato,ma la cura del cliente sarebbe un po' da migliorare.

accoglienza buona e personale molto disponibile, l'appartamento è decisamente vicino alla spiaggia (bellissima) e quindi molto comodo. Per il resto molto molto spartano, forse un pò troppo, è vero che è molto economico ma un minimo di decenza in più non guastava. Nel bagno c'è un solo appendi asciugamano, è troppo fare un altro buco sul muro? Poggia valigia uno solo: la stanza "omologata" per una sola persona (noi eravamo in due con tre letti). Ruggine agli infissi in bagno, doccia con tenda ammuffita, piastra per cucinare non funzionante (per fortuna cambiata in poche ore). Il wifi non funziona MAI quindi ritengo non sia il caso di metterlo tra i servizi a disposizione. non pubblico le foto scattate non mi sembra opportuno. come sistemazione può andare bene per dei giovanissimi, no famiglie secondo me

Ottima scelta a Kalamaki!

Ho soggiornato presso questa struttura la prima settimana di agosto con altri 3 amici, abbiamo preso una camera per 4 (ci sono 2 camere separate) x risparmiare. Pulizia delle camere frequente con cambio asciugamani ogni 2 giorni. cucina piccola ed essenziale. I proprietari sono gentilissimi e disponibili. Struttura in ottima posizione, a 10 minuti a piedi dal mare di Kalamaki, località consigliata rispetto alla più caotica laganas. Consigliatissimo a tutti!

Wonderful vacation

We enjoyed our stay and the warm hospitality. We got a room on the second floor, with view to the fields and the sea. The room had everything we needed to make our vacation perfect.

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo

Il nostro soggiorno è stato davvero piacevole. Gli appartamenti sono molto essenziali ma c'è tutto quello che serve per stare bene. Comodissimo il frigo in camera date le alte temperature, l'angolo cottura utile ma non indispensabile: i prezzi dei ristoranti attorno al residence sono irrisori, conviene mangiare sempre fuori! Il personale del residence molto presente e disponibile per qualunque richiesta. Kalamaki è una tranquilla ma vivace località, vicina a tutto: Laganas per il divertimento notturno, Zante town per vedere una bella città di mare! La vicina spiaggia è suggestiva per la presenza delle tartarughe ma molto mal tenuta, consiglio di spostarsi nelle spiaggie a sud est come Banana Beach o la Baia di Yeraki. In ogni caso consiglio il noleggio di uno scooter se si viaggia in aereo.

Struttura accogliente, spaziosa e rilassante.

Abbiamo soggiornato agli Athina io e mio marito per 15 giorni ad Agosto 2013 e ne siamo più che soddisfatti. La struttura è molto bella..... circondata da giardini curati e ben tenuti. Le camere sono spaziose, luminose e fresche. I proprietari sono persone eccellenti, cordiali e di gran cuore. Nel complesso gli Athina si trovano al centro di negozi, taverne e market (letteralmente a 4 passi) nonchè ottimo punto di partenza per esplorare l'intera isola. Lontana ed allo stesso tempo vicina al caos di Laganas. La consiglio a tutti coloro che cercano una vacanza rilassante ed allo stesso tempo hanno voglia di divertirsi nella vicinissima Laganas. Ottima struttura perfetti i proprietari. Grazie Dennis ed Ellie.

They charge extra for A/C

Many other reviews say it's a good value for money. We paid around $40 per night for the peak season but be aware that the charge you an extra $5 per night if you need the A/C (which most likely you will need). The hotel is decent and quite clean but I was disappointing by the comfort level even for the amount we paid. For instance, we didn't even have soap to wash our hands.
