Highly, highly recommend this lovely bed and breakfast in the Lake District. I really appreciated the ease and efficiency of contactless check-in (and the extra tea, coffee and milk packets by the front door). Quiet and clean room with super comfy beds, and a great shower. The breakfast the next morning was exceptional! Will definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area.

Lovely guest house in a great spot, just away from Keswick but easy to get to. Room was clean and bed was comfy, my bathroom was a touch small but not a big deal. Breakfast was nice and the server was very attentive!

Lovely place and great service.

Perfect for an overnight stay with my family. Rooms had everything we needed and we were provided with all the information required to make for a smooth arrival. Breakfast was lovely and staff very friendly and helpful. Pub down the road was equally as lovely. We will definitly be back.

A nice gem for a short stay

Very convenient location. Quiet too. It would have been great if we could eat at the local pub within walking distance. As the chef had taken ill, we ended up having to drive into town to have dinner. Breakfast was good. Would definitely recommend to others.

Nice overnight stop

Comfortable warm room although not very big, good shower, tasty breakfast, free parking & a pub within easy walking distance. Some lights on the rear car park would be useful, it was a good thing we had a touch in the car. Breakfast times quite restricted.

Pleasant rooms

Check-in was easy but contactless check-in is soul-less, cold and impersonal. The rooms are small but well appointed, warm, quiet and peaceful. The breakfasts were lovely, but would have benefited from being served on warm plates. Otherwise a pleasant stay.

Very tired and unkempt. The outside area is not nice at all. The room was small and cheaply decorated. Needs new skirting boards and interior door to bring it up to a better standard. The sealant round the shower is a mess, as is some of the grouting. Couldn’t get the smart tv to work. Cheap breakfast with small portions. We really wished we had not booked this hotel.

Good stay and would return

Nice stay and would go back. Clean, simple room with comfy beds. Warm enough with a big radiator. Good hot shower. Seems enough parking for a car per room. Breakfast was great, with good coffee and attentive staff. 20 minute flat walk into keswick if needed. Be warned, the walls in the rooms are paper thin, to the extent of hearing neighbouring rooms talking, flushing toilets etc. Thanfully for our stay the hotel was "settled" by just after 9 and it was ok. I'd recommend taking earplugs incase of a noisy adjoinong room or you'll be in for a rough night. Dissapointingly guests cannot use the electric car charger which would have saved us a hassle of charging in keswick to get home. We would have obviously been happy to pay aswell, sure this could change as demand increases. Easy acces to hotel which was communicated via email.
