Charming place for dog lovers in a great location in Newport. Short walk down to waterfront, a block from a large park, convenient to many mansions and other attractions. Each room is well equipped and decorated for both people and pups. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Off season rates are quite a bargain given excellent breakfast and no pet surcharges. Note that there are somewhat steep stairs, e.g., up to main entrance and down to breakfast area. Room 6 was large with separate living area that our dog loved. Street parking was available in front in December, but reserved parking spot is a block away.

Love this place!!!

Paws on Pelham is amazing!!! Service is fantastic, rooms meticulously maintained, and the breakfast is delicious (also love the coffee)! Parking is a huge plus, so is thr proximity to Thames Street, Cliff Walk, etc. Highly Recommend!!!

A perfect location to get to the wharfs or bus #67 to mansions. This was immaculately kept, friendly and helpful staff and the free breakfasts were great.

Paws on Pelham was an absolutely wonderful place. They were so dog friendly, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and everything was decorated beautifully with such a fun dog theme. It’s just a few minute walk from lots of shopping and restaurants. An intrepid person could even walk to Easton beach if they really wanted to. They have a large, safe parking lot (even though we surprising didn’t have much trouble finding parking). Our room was spacious and clean. It was so sunny and bright and everything felt new. My only minor complaint is that the tv in the bedroom was not a smart TV while the tv in the sitting room was. As well, the walls/floors are fairly thing so you can hear other guests in their rooms or walking around. Most importantly though, my dogs loved. And if they love it, then I love it.

st patricks day weekend

we had a decent stay. we stayed in room 1 on the first floor right next to the lobby. i wouldn’t recommend this. people were constantly going up and down the stairs above us and we were right next to the ice machine. the first morning of our stay at 7:30, someone kept repeatedly tapping on our door. the window in our bathroom’s glass was cracked. none of the windows had screens and the Unit in the room was only set to heat so we had to open a screen less window to cool it down. we brought our dog and there were plenty of fields in the area to take her to go potty. given it being st patrick’s day weekend, most rooms brought their dogs which i loved. the room above us’s dog was barking incessantly and when they finally checked out on our second morning, house keeping was in their room before 9 vacuuming, banging around and moving what seemed like furniture. wasn’t super relaxing when we were in our room. the walls are thin so you could hear every little noise. i enjoyed getting a code to our room versus a keycard. breakfast both mornings were very good and had good options. the sun deck was small but also very cute. i think i would’ve enjoyed my stay more not on a holiday weekend, or if people prepared their dogs more to be in a strange place. you could tell many were distraught and no owners seemed to be contacted by the lobby to check on them to calm them down.
