8/10 Very good

Great location, bus stop directly outside the hotel so very convenient for getting into the city centre.

Not for people that can't handle stairs. Doors are locked before 3 pm so if you land early you're screwed. The room was cleanish but I found hair from other people in the bathroom so I think they clean quickly.

Unexpected good hotel

Self check in and check out with detailed procedure by emails. Female staff on our first day of arrival told us the ways and directions of going to town centre. Free parking was available. Transport to town centre is just outside hotel and is very convenient. A shopping mall is just around corner. Restaurants just a short distance from hotel.

OK. Clean and efficient, but a bit noisy from the road. They have a breakfast room but no longer do breakfast.

8/10 Very good

It was easy to check in. I was in room 14 on the first floor, room facing the rear of the property. Good sized room. Bedding looked clean and fresh and so did the towels. Bathroom was clean. I only stayed one night. My wife in ERI. I had previously stayed in Travelodge which is about 4 doors away. Far cheaper than Travelodge but also an older property. When I went to bed, I heard someone knocking on a bedroom door on 3 occasions and hoped that I wouldn’t be in for a night of it. Fortunately it stopped and I had a very good sleep in the comfortable bed. Complimentary coffee, tea, milk etc in the room. So to summarise, this hotel/guest house did exactly what I wanted it to do. Thanks

Convenient location

This place was exactly what we were looking for with a grocery store nearby and a bus stop directly in front. It was clean and comfortable and was exactly as described. The lack of AC was the only issue. Although the window was sufficient to let in cool air, it faces a very busy street which made for very early wake ups. Would stay here again.

8/10 Very good

It is a clean basic room and warm. Needs double glazing to cut out road noise. Shower could do with better clean but would stay again

2/10 Poor

Worst hotel in 25yrs of working

Freezing cold (heating turned off) Noisy staff though out the early hours Staff burning cardboard boxers in carpark Felt the unsafe Out of 25yrs working away from home this place has to be the second worst place I’ve stayed !

The location is far from the centrum, but because of good bus connection it was easy reachable! Hotel was not really 3* hotel:( rooms are very old, door did not open well because of very old lock:( one day internet was not available:(

Pillows, to hard. Water in shower, where was it? Expensive and no breakfast. But still a Hotell?
Mikael, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

The property is okay, good location, bus stop right in front of the hotel (8 stops for the center of the city). The bedroom was simple, need a better maintenance of the building and bedroom (There was a 5" hole behind the toilet with pipes exposed). No AC, no mini bar and no ice maker.
Tiago, 2-night trip

4/10 Fair

Positives - location. Negatives - cleanliness, facilities non existent, condition of room - woodchip walls - no iron, no toiletries, no hairdryer, previous occupants smoking and expensive. To avoid

Thank you

It was a good short visit , the best thing of the hotel is location. I am extremely thankful to one of the staff members ( dont know the name ; but she was cleaning the room and dining area in afternoon), she has such a good heart, guided me, helped with phone charger, told me how to get around the city. Invited me inside to sit down in warmth while waiting for check in as i was early. God bless you always! And thank you. I left the charger point at front desk and a thnk you note, hopefully you received it.all the stars i gave are for her. Thank you for your kindness

2/10 Poor

Crappy hotel

This hotel is terrible and should not be booked by anyone, how can you tell a guest requesting why there’s no air conditioning in the room that they won’t need it eventually because the weather will get cold in the evening, customer service is crap as well they know how to collect your money but to refund they start telling you crap
2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Upon arrival we learned that the room that we were allocated was the so called "emergency room" where it was right at the front door in the reception area. If you opened your bedroom door, you can see the reception desk. The reception also informed us that the room had no on-suite bathroom. Our bathroom was the right next to the reception desk. So if you are needing the toilet in the middle of the night, you are walking into the reception area and likewise if you are going for a shower. We have no issue with the bathroom not being inside the bedroom, the issue we had was that the bathroom was literally inside the reception area for all to see. I went back to look on the booking to see if I had missed anything and no where on the booking information on the property, when you click to select your room, does that room appear. There was no mention of no on-suite toilet when we proceeded with the booking.

8/10 Very good

The shower was a nightmare, water pressure was too low that it took me almost forever to take a decent bath. Also, the heating device inside the room only worked during certain times over the day, 2 to 3 hours at most a day!!
Ricardo Macías, 6-night trip

6/10 Good

The shower was awful

This has the potential to be a great hotel but at the moment overpriced. As soon as I got in the room I noticed an odd fishy smell. I very soon after realised this was the kettle. There is free wifi but it’s really poor. The noise from the road was bad. My biggest irritant was the shower had no pressure. There was just a dribble of water to get washed in. I was thinking about extending my stay but with no tea, wifi and proper shower I decided not to.
This was a nice church near the Northumberland.
A railway line also near the Northumberland.
St Giles church in the High St of Edinburgh.
