Staff in the bar were very helpful, even though it was very busy. However, I was disappointed as the bar/restaurant downstairs looked nice but the upstairs landing and room were very old and tired, with mismatched and peeling decor, and not very clean. The drawers were unusable in the room as they were full of dust/bits and the wardrobe was smelly. 2 handles had fallen of the drawers and were just put inside. The bed linen was fresh and clean with a comfortable bed. The 2 shared bathrooms were even worse with no paper towels or separate toilets for a number of rooms. So I showered at 5.30am and left. There was also a couple of loitering drunk people upstairs late at night. I don't know if they were guests or looking for the toilet. This did not make me feel safe as the accommodation is not separated from the pub. I expected basic but would not stay here again, it was pretty awful.

Absolutely disgusting ,smell of urine from the toilets nearly made me sick ,no bathroom in the room had to share , I couldn’t stay there we went somewhere else I did not feel safe ,I will be seeking a refund 😡😡

I was looking for an overnight place to stop whilst traveling. I must admit I like old Australian Country pubs which are (basic) always clean, great kitchens / food, hot showers and great beds. I was not disappointed.
