Na primeira noite estávamos em um quarto com cama muito ruim. Pedi para ser trocada de quarto. O anúncio diz que tem estacionamento, o que é mentira. Oh My . . . Pietermaai!

We stayed in a 2 bd Penthouse Ste. w/seaview. Though it was not the same layout as in the advertised images (something that should be ironed out), the suite was great in design, decor, view, and so on. Great air flow, which meant there wasn't really a need to use air conditioning. Room service was excellent. Indeed, all staff we encountered were wonderful. For a suite at that price point, however, kitchen utensils should really be improved. The few pans were falling apart at the handles, and the same was true of spatula. Worse, the teflon was peeling off of the pans, which is a toxicity problem! A member of the family has a very specialized diet for health reasons, so while we do eat out, we tend to need a place with a kitchen to make sure she has proper nourishment if unable to get her what she needs at restaurants. Cooking in the kitchen would have been easier with better quality kitchen items, and a blender would have been nice.

I enjoyed my stay. People just need to remember it’s a historic building and not a five star resort. I personally thought it was cute. A little noisy because my room was beside a restaurant and a building they were doing repairs on but it was horrible. Now a rented the split level. Maneuvering the stairs with my bag was difficult but I managed. The stairs are very narrow and has a turn to them. So if you are tall it maybe uncomfortable. I would give it a 3.5 out of 5 because I liked the history feel and convenience of location

Ocean Upgrade

The hotel was amazing with helping with rental car accommodations after we arrived. Everyone was friendly and very welcoming. The street behind the hotel does have live music some days of the week so if you go to bed early you will hear it for a bit (we enjoyed the live music). Great walking distance to Punda and Queen Emma’s bridge. Overall a great experience.

Great stay. The hotel is amazing. The entire district is being flipped. A lot of construction and renovation in area properties. We highly recommend Pietermaai hotel but just be open to the near ghetto appearance of some of the area properties. Go in with an open mind. Thus is a very old community that is experiencing a huge rebuild. In a few years this will be a breathtaking destination
