We booked a 4-bed room at Hotel Forstinger via Hotels.com late in the evening, while returning from vacation with our two kids and a baby. When we arrived, the hotel was locked and the self-check-in didn’t work. We stood outside for 20–30 minutes.
We called the support number – the woman was extremely rude and unhelpful. She first claimed we had no reservation, then admitted we did, but said the room wasn’t ready. Even after we told her we were outside late at night with small children, she said: “Then find another hotel. I’ll refund you.”
No apology. No empathy. Just coldness and blame. She even suggested we book additional room!
In the end, we stayed in the unprepared room – one bed and a sofa where the kids slept.
The receptionist next morning was very kind and promised the manager would call us. That never happened.
We do not recommend this hotel – especially not for families.
