The Lookout Rye
"Great find in Rye! Room number 4 had balcony looking over car park which was better than it sounds….peaceful, secluded and surrounded by trees. Balcony needs attention but this didn’t detract from the lovely room. Staff smiley and helpful. Loved the bar outside to watch the world go by. Great breakfast which was cooked to order and dining room a pleasant space. Great location for sightseeing."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Hastings
- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Hastings is between January and March, when hotel rates tend to be lower. For an enriching experience that allows you to explore the town's historical landmarks and cultural sites, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This duration is perfect for immersing yourself in the local history, enjoying the beautiful beach, and taking leisurely walks in the natural parks. You can also discover friendly cafes and bars that offer great value for money, making it a budget-friendly getaway.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: For a trip to Hastings, you may discover attractive hotel deal opportunities by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window section on Hotels.com. If you're planning a last-minute getaway, check out the Last-Minute Deals area to see if discounted rates are available. Enabling email alerts or push notifications could help you stay informed about flash sales and special promotions. Additionally, the Smart Shopping feature in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're more likely to spot a suitable offer when rooms become available or prices drop.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel’s location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you find a better price for your stay in a Hastings hotel. If you're interested in a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may offer good value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest more economical dates to assist you in finding a potentially better deal.
- Consider your location: Opting for accommodation closer to key attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it often tends to come with higher costs. For more budget-friendly options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and accessibility to the sights you intend to visit. You might also look into independent hotels situated a bit further out, as they can provide a more authentic and usually more affordable experience.
