Luckily it was only one night
Asked for instructions via message first time - no reaction. Followed up - no reaction. Then had to call and ask. Being finally in the room, toilet paper was nearly used up. Extremely loud, feels like the train goes straight through your room.

Good Value for Money
Beautiful traditional building, rooms are large and well equipped, bath/shower within the room will not suit everyone but this is evident when booking. Worth noting that the building is next to an operational railway line, with regular passenger and goods trains passing during the night so earplugs required if you are a light sleeper. Otherwise, good value for money and would recommend.

Never again!
Room: the smell of humidity is terrible… the a/c doesn’t work properly… mastress was one of the worst ever had… the best thing in that room is the shower, carpet must be changed! However, the staff is very kind, very helpful!

Room was so Cold it was unbearable; I get turning on AC prior to arrival but it must have been on the lowest setting for days, it was freezing, I had to turn it onto heater to warm the room, The bath in the room made it feel like a Bordello or similar, not unnoticed by my wife during a facetime call which raised an uncomfortable eyebrow. The very early and jarring wake up by trains was unexpected, the surrounding area was grim to but it mildly.... In a different location for a romantic night it would be great, but where it is and for a single business traveler it was a bit weird. Management please note, your receptionist needs additional training, deducting $100 bond without asking is illegal and unethical, waiting 10 days for a refund is unacceptable. Your receptionist is following instructions that are wrong, illegal and unethical, you are going to get her in trouble, you may also want to ask if she is ok... She's not... Unstable is sympathetic discription.

Who said romance is dead?
The property was built in about 1885 and has been brilliantly restored to the point where I was half expecting my horse and carriage to come to take us the steam train. I suspect that anyone who failed to feel the romance was probably dead already. The ambience is amazing.
