A Peaceful Garden Retreat in Venice

Pensione Accademia is a rare find—set in a beautiful historical building with lush front and back gardens, which is quite unique for Venice. It’s quiet and peaceful, yet just a short walk to the Accademia vaporetto stop. Rooms are spacious and the air conditioning works well, though the shower doors could use an upgrade.

Séjour fantastique!!! Deuxième séjour dans cet hôtel est toujours aussi fan. Il est magnifique situé dans un quartier calme de Venise. Il est très bien situé. On peut se rendre à pied à la place st Marc et autre lieu dans Venise. Le plus il a un magnifique jardin pour se déconnecté. Le personnel est très gentils accueillant et à l'écoute. La chambre très bien lit confortable, accessoires de toilettes complet.

perfect Venice getaway

This hotel is perfect - away from the activity of St. Marks Square. Took us about 15 minutes to walk over. Close to Ponte dell'Accademia. Beautiful gardens, wonderful breakfast, sitting rooms. Our bedroom was so comfortable and overlooked the little canals with a glimpse of the Grand Canal. Highly recommend

A surprising corner of the Grand Canal.

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I had not told them in advance that three flights of stairs without an elevator would be a problem. Although they were full they went to enormous lengths to change my room. Everything was good ... location, breakfast, garden, bar and location with partial vew of nearby Grand Canal.

Understated Elegance

The old palace offers many places to sit inside and outside. You're not simply confined to your room and a busy lobby. I wanted something with an old Venetian feeling and this certainly provided that. I loved the view of a minor canal from our window that led to the Grand Canal. Just so readers know, the Grand Canal is noisy. The pensione was calm. Amazingly, they had two garden, front and back and all landscaping was carefully tended. The breakfasts on the terrace were gracious and all staff were extremely cordial, Amazing feeling of being off the beaten path while actually being centrally located. You feel brought back to the times when the Russian Aristocracy stayed here.

The property was beautiful with a lovely garden. Breakfast every morning had more then you could want or need. Comfortable bed and cozy quaint room ours had a lovely view of the canal. Lovely and friendly staff/ the front desk gentleman was very helpful, I just wish I remembered his name. He told us about a free tour to a glass blowing factory in Burano which was fabulous, with a free taxi ride, that was like a tour because it was such a beautiful way to see the city on the way to Burano, if you can take advantage of the free tour. Overall I can not say enough about our visit to Venice and our stay at this hotel. Only negative is if you have issues with stairs ask for a Downstairs room if possible. I will recommend to anyone going to Venice.
Outside of hotel with a beautiful garden in the front and in the back. We had breakfast every morning in the patio.
