Usually we drive by GJ on the way to Moab. But this time we stayed 2 nights and planned for next, longer stay in GJ to ride trails. We took Amtrak to GJ so didn't have transportation this trip. Still there was plenty to do. Loved the Museum of West.

Gotta hit Colorado National Monument, it's a 15-20 minute drive from the hotel but it is everything! Also Robin's Nest on Main Street might be my favorite antique store EVER. Main Street of GJ is thriving and lovely

We liked going to the Colorado National Monument and hiking the Devil's Kitchen trail (not hard, good for kids, and fun rock formations to climb in).

"What a bargain. I’ve paid triple to stay in old dumps that stink of old cigarettes and parties and are loud and uncomfortable old motel style. This is a legit HOTEL. Nice details and styling, comfortable bed, clean room and the cheapest in town on Expedia for me"
"Check in took awhile, but not fault of staff, had technical issues and lots of people showed up at same time. Kids loved the pool and entertainment area. Comfortable room very close to highway so very convenient for getting around. Would stay there again "
"dennys accross parking lot and applebees accross street. gas station two doors down. nice on site breakfast with apples, coffee, orange juice, milk, yogart, bagles, toast, cream cheese, jelly, jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches, jimmy dean breakfast sausage rolled in syrup pancake on stick. frosted corn flakes, raisin bran. cheapest motel in town that offers breakfast. no reason to complain. fridge and mircowave in room. bed was comfortable and plenty of hot water in shower. if you stay at a cheap motel and you want to complain then that is on you. very nice front desk people. accomidated me with a ground floor room because i am handycaped.
