The other reviews are insane. I feel like this place is more of a 2.5-3 stars hotel not 3.5 stars. Tile grouts on floors are dirty, ceiling areas are cracked. My room felt suffocating and I was traveling solo. The room fan is intense, even at the lowest level it’s too windy. I wouldn’t stay here again and will just stick to 4 star hotels. The internet wasn’t working and I had to check out early to got to a cafe to attend my zoom meeting. This place is probably great if you’re an average person.

Not that great

The hotel is in fair condition but the bathroom shower plaster hanging on barely. The pool is not heated the photos of the roof top pool is deceiving very small and very cold. Don’t book unless your sure your going to stay they will not refund I booked in November 2024 I found a better alternative a week later tried to cancel and they do not offer a refund so had to stay anyway. Mind you this was a stay for Feb 2025 so plenty of time to fill the room. I don’t think the hotel was full capacity ant my time of stay so I would say that maybe the reason. For the price and location there are better choices.

Beautiful view!

This hotel is up the hill, but not far from the coast - it was a lovely stay and the rooftop bar and pool beautiful. Wonderful view - has a totally different vibe than being down on the water. I liked it a lot

The views of the property rooftop are amazing. Access to the property is difficult. Rooms were already too small for that much furniture. Shower area wasn't properly clean in my room. It does not make much sense, to expect guests to fill a satisfaction survey in front of the employee that is checking you out. Staff was nice most of the time. Christian was great! It was great to have a stocked mini-bar.

We had a nice stay. The staff was friendly and responsive. The stayed in the penthouse room and was very clean however, the door to the room should be replaced as the key lock was a struggle to open and isn’t insulated from noise from the pool wish was directly outside our room. Wi-Fi did not work during our stay which affected our ability to stream programming.

This hotel was located perfectly walking distance to everything. A convenient store is located right around the corner & an amazing cafe. The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. The view from the rooftop pool was amazing especially during sunset. The pool was on the cooler side, but was also kept super clean. Hotel cleaning staff were on top of things, every morning we were able to decide if we wanted our room refreshed and it would be completed within an hour of us hanging the cleaning sign up. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that is wanting to experience the city life of Puerto Vallarta.

Week stay at Amaca hotel

First impression was good, front desk service and registration was quick, efficient and very nice reception. Wish we had booked a room with a balcony but the roof top deck and pool with a view more then make up for it, nice sunsets. Umbrellas in really bad shape were quickly fixed and appreciated for the next days. The mattress and pillows were not quite comfortable and could use an upgrade for sure. Overall it was a pleasant stay for our holiday.

Great location, small and quaint . Close to beach, and all amenities. It does need some upgrades, the flooring is neat up and looks dirty, the headboards are covered in cloth and look yellow oily and dirty, I’d change that up with a vinyl fabric that is washable. The beds are comfortable, my complaint is the pillows , very old and I would suggest they be washed after every guest checks out. Also get rid of the styrofoam cups for the coffee. Paper would be much better. I would definitely stay again, staff are very friendly, if you see Maria she works in housekeeping she’s a sweetie, a good addition to your hotel.
