The hotel appears to have been recently taken over by Country Inn and Suites. When we arrived, the outside trash can was overflowing, a light pole had fallen down and was taped off with yellow caution tape. The entryway area, lobby and dining area smelled and looked clean. The hallways had areas where the wallpaper was peeling, many areas were missing trim around the doors. Inside our room, we found chip crumbs on the floor, the dresser was missing a drawer, the other drawers were not level and kept opening, the door in front of the mini fridge was broken. Overall, these things just left a lot to be desired.
Over the 2 days we stayed there, we only saw the same 3 employees. I thought that was strange. We were not told that we would not be having any housekeeping services during our stay, but they never attended to the room. When I requested new towels, I had to return our used towels to the front desk first before they would provide anymore towels. No "extra" towels were allowed to be given.
The breakfast was so-so. It was well maintained, but had very limited options. We skipped it on our last morning there and opted for the Waffle House. Which honestly, wasn't much better.
