1st thing we were told was “were you told there’s no restaurant or bar tonight”. Which was a shock. The hotel is so far out of town. It’s beyond the back of beyond. it cost us over £26 plus tip for taxi to town to get a meal. Room was sparse bed hard window didn’t close towel rail in bathroom broken. I could go on. If I’d realised it was a britainia hotel group I would never have booked as I feel they are well below par. There was a tray with couple of tea bags and coffee sachets. You’d have thought they’d have at least added a biscuit under the circumstances. Hotels.com are at fault too as we were not notified. Only on Friday to check in online
