You can't knock it coz it's old. It's a slight step back in time, but it's clean and the rooms are spacious for a family of 4. The drapes and covers are from decades past, but the sheets were clean, and the mattress and pillow quality turn out to be typical of all 4 hotels I stayed in in Italy, even in hotel over twice the nightly rate. The upside was the piazza is right outside where 1. there was a fun summer musical festival 2) we had the best gelato and the best cone in all of italy ( I think it was called Dolce Crema ) and 3) the restaurant in the hotel ... what a surprise, really good food. My daughter had some kind of stuffed pasta ( not tortelloni but sounded like it, and was bigger ) with a Ragu sauce ... never tasted anything so good.So YES, overall great value for the price, and perfect location for visiting the Ferrari and Lambo sites from. Breakfast is not included, but it's worth paying for, they make great Cappuccino in the morning.
