Wonderful stay, will visit again!!
Fantastic stay! Breakfast was delicious, the staff was very kind and welcoming. Parking was a bonus! I loved that they had the restaurant/bar as is was nice to lounge in the evening with a pint and not have to go far to get back to your room 😂

This is a very old facility—the parking is a real challenge to find—but somehow, we managed! The hotel is on multiple floors. My husband uses a cane, and one of the staff brought our luggage to our room for us. They even changed our room so we would encounter fewer steps. We walked to the castle, then came back to the hotel for dinner - it was excellent - as was breakfast the next morning. We really enjoyed staying here - next time two nights!

Good value for money
Nice traditional style hotel. Bathroom was a little dated. Very friendly staff and great breakfast. Definitely good value. We would be happy to book again another time.

I was completely disappointed and disgusted with this hotel. It came so highly recommended. While it was right in the heart of city center the hotel it self was awful. The second you walked through the doors you were greeted with an awful smell. The room was old, dirty and cold. The temperature outside was 37*F and there was no heat in the room until 6pm. The bathtub had mold and soap scum. There was a tea set and the spoons had dried coffee stains on them. The beds had dips in them that’s how old they were. The staff was not helpful at all. I would never go back or recommend this hotel. For the price you pay to stay at this hotel you would expect it to be a much higher quality. Completely disgusted and disappointed

El hotel no es barato, y está en terrible condiciones, habitaciones muy antiguas alfombras viejas, y la cama terrible, tuve que pedir un cambio de habitación porque no se soportaba el olor a pintura fresca, fueron amables muy amables, pero el edificio ya no es apto, hay escaleras por todos lados no tiene elevador fue terrible

great property in central Kilkenny
This very historic property is a treat. The location is perfect, steps from the main intersection of Kilkenny centre but removed enough to be quiet and feel private. So convenient to every attraction and dining/pub venue, so no car needed. Staff were amazing - every person we met was graciously friendly and helpful. Our room was everything we needed and nicely appointed modern bath.
