Weekend away
Lovely 305 yrs old country pub Room clean and great beds small but plenty big enough for two we were in the twin, Food the the bar was lovely and reasonably priced, staff were very friendly we would stay there again.

Excellent and cannot wait to return!!
We had an amazing stay. The staff started our great stay with so much help and information. The room was lovely (although at times loud as we had a macerator toilet which did give me a fright a few times). We have an evening meal in the pub and the food was beautiful with fantastic service. We stayed for 4 nights and had a delicious cooked breakfast every morning which really helped as our stay was due to us attending Kendal Calling festival. Everyone was so friendly and we enjoyed it so much we have booked for next years festival and cannot wait to return (just hoping to not have the macerator) Thank you all at the Queens Head we look forward to seeing you next year.

Marvellous stay
The queens is a great place for a couple of nights. Lovely staff , very attentive staff great food and drinks. Our Dog was very welcome and the outside facilities and car park were great. We were in an electric car so disappointed that there was no EV charging point. There are fast chargers in Penrith.

Great location for enjoying the Lake District. Excellent staff and breakfast. Small but comfortable room. Lovely bathroom. Convenient parking available.
