What we liked: property and grounds are beautiful, beach, water, pools, our room was amazing with a second-floor loft, and always clean with plenty of towels, coffee, water, soda and beer. Spanish restaurant was the best - amazing presentation, lamb and fish were super, also service here was great. Japanese is second favorite, fresh and delish, service also good. Easy to book reservations for restaurants, we did it by golf course and koyo 9 lobby. just a hint, for breakfast go to steakhouse Santa Fe restaurant and sit outside, where you get decent service and a view.
What we didn't like - pretty much two things - service and hard to communicate due to staff's lack of English. Staff has no desire to come and ask if you need anything, food and coffee takes forever to get. when we went to koyo9 for breakfast - decided to do a-la-carte, food arrived 40 min later and my daughter's hotcakes were cold and dry, my husband's omelet was also cold, seems like it was ready for a while, but server failed to check on our order.
To sum up, this is a great place with poor service. By 6th day we knew where to go and where to eat and drink and get good service, but had to leave. for Breakfast only to steakhouse, for drinks to the bar by kiddy pool, girls are nice there, for dinner, Spanish and Japanese.. but didn't go to French. At the end of the day, it all comes down to personal preferences, I would go there again, but my husband wouldn't.
