This was our first time at one of the Hyatt Secrets Resorts and we decided to give this one a try for Our Anniversary. We were here for 5 days. Our personal concierge was outstanding! But our first day at one of the restaurants Bordeaux our server seem to be having a bad day and I could feel it. This was about to ruin our night but we decided after to try another restaurant and Went to OCEANA we enjoyed it there and our server Max he was smiling and joyful so I think thats what actually fixed our first night !. But it was so difficult finding poolside staff to get drinks or food. But the last day 2 days it wasn't so bad because it seemed like Hyatt Corporate HR was visiting and for some reason We were getting the best service ever. I have visited 3 resorts this year in Mexico and I'll have to put this one on the bottom of my list. Maybe in the future I'll decide to give it another try heard because I heard it's pretty new resort. DON'T let this review change your mind this was our Experience! HOPE the team takes this review and improves . Thank You

El hotel es hermoso, de lujo. Tienen música en vivo prácticamente todos los días, a veces alrededor de la alberca y en otras ocasiones en la noche en el bar. El restaurante italiano me encantó. Sólo el servicio de meseros en zona de albercas y restaurantes es un poco lento, tardan mucho en traer bebidas y no se diga los alimentos. Son muy tardados, lo mejor es ir al bar por las bebidas.

Let me start with the pros, first off the staff was great and the property itself was really nice, rooms were awesome, pools and outdoor seating areas were top notch, the beach was one of the nicer ones we’ve ever been to and check in and check out process was really easy. Now I’ll list some of the cons and the biggest problem we encountered on this trip. I definitely agree with having a dress code but I feel it was a bit strict and excessive compared to other nice all inclusive resorts we’ve visited. Another problem was the difficulty of getting into restaurants for dinner. In our situation we had a group of 10 so I understand there may be a wait to be able to set together but even when we were willing to split up dining was difficult. The first come first serve policy, with exception of Japanese which took reservations, created a mad rush at all the restaurants with no buffet style alternatives to alleviate the overflow. The biggest issue we had that prevented us from enjoying our stay, made traveling home difficult and caused lost wages was illness from the food or beverages. We did not leave the resort. Like I said we had ten people in our group, eventually seven out of the ten got violently SICK 2-3 days into our trip, five still have diarrhea even 2 days after returning home. Two have been to the doctor and been diagnosed with travelers diarrhea, something that is caused by unsafe food or water that involve parasites from FECES! Worst vacation we’ve ever experienced

The service at this property was the best I've ever experienced. From the time you arrive until the time you leave, there is someone ready to wait on you hand and foot no matter where you are on the resort. They personalize your experience by remembering your names and what kind of food/drinks you like. 10 out of 10 service. Elias was a pool concierge near the Jungle Pool during our stay and he was fantastic! Carlos was a server that worked several pools as well as the beach, also fantastic! This was also the cleanest place I've ever stayed in. Housekeeping was also 10 out of 10. I highly recommend this property!

I LOVED this resort - Secrets Playa Blanca. One week of stay is not enough. I thank all of the staff for their assistance and for being so kind throughout our stay. Food was immaculate in the restaurants. Drinks were also very good. Rooms were beautiful as described and the pools were amazing! Definitely recommend to anyone and will definitely be coming back

Excellent service since you arrive. Very polite and professional. The resort itself is amazing, nice variety of restaurants. The staff is amicable and always with a smile whenever they address you. The room was beautiful, and our concierge Adrian always took care of us and provided information about all hotel activities during our stay. Easy to book activities outside of the hotel thanks to the Amstar team.

We had a late arrival and were greeted but the receptionist. The resort is stunning and all of the employees were so friendly and helpful! The breakfast buffet was wonderful, the lunch choices were very good as well. Our diners were all so good, the Italian restaurant Portifino was our absolute favorite meal. Our room was lovely and left nothing for our wants or needs. The beach was beautiful, it did have some sea weed but it is the ocean and there was a slight small Storm out in the gulf so totally understandable. We highly recommend this resort!

For it being all inclusive, you still had to pay. Pay for a massage, pay for some dinners and drinks. I assumed all inclusive meant “all free” I guess I was wrong.
