酒店靠近湖邊，交通方便，是不錯的選擇。 週末放假貴得有點離譜，都是3000以上的價格，到了之後發現其實有更多更好的選擇。房間基本上沒有風景可言，我們三個房間，只有我的大床房可以看到一點湖景，其他什麼都沒有。 酒店的員工都很歧視亞洲人，我們在餐廳享用了晚餐和早餐，晚餐的時候，多次催促我們點菜，我們朋友感冒了在房間先休息和吃藥，員工竟然說我們預定的是7點，你們已經遲了15分鐘點菜了必須要快，讓人感覺很莫名其妙。 早餐的時候，點了茶一直沒來，問她就說很多人，要逐個準備，最後催促了幾次發現根本是遺漏了，這服務也是讓人失望；然後，其他桌都是主動過去問要什麼早餐，我們的不叫都不問，也不告訴我們有麵包，這就是對待亞洲人的服務態度？？

A Hotel with very nice view and convenient location, just a few-minute walk can arrive at the Pier. We also enjoy swimming in the indoor pool. Staff are very helpful. I forgot my watch in the drawer and just noticed it after checking out. Staff helped to find it for me. Will stay again if we visit Lake District next time.

I have been here before and although the prices increase the.hotel is getting tired. Sandra and the other lady on reception like before were exceptional but its a shame the bar staff and restaurant are not so good. The views make this hotel but its dated and the windows need cleaning. Breakfast took over 15 minutes to be shown to our seat and the fruit and pastries were empty and no glasses with very little juice. Breakfast was delivered ok but not the best. I dont like giving bad reviews but value for money it rates a 4/10. Also £25 to park which is overpwiced as well.

The booking Inn was excellent the woman at the front desk was excellent very comfortable with a we actually got in early due to the room being ready which we did not expect the room was very big and the bed which I expected the shower tray add a big brown stain on it which I thought it hadn't been cleaned correctly the shower hose whilst damaged I reported this the breakfast was not to standard the waiters looked very untidy the evening meal I did not enjoy at all to say how much I paid for the meal not very good at all I'm sorry but it was not what I expected in McDonald's ins I have been up north and down South and stayed in the inns but this one let the side down 👎

We recently spent three nights at The Mcdonald Hotel during a short getaway to the Lake District, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth — the kind that immediately sets the tone for a relaxing, memorable break. The Room: We stayed in one of their lake-facing rooms, and waking up each morning to that view? Absolutely dreamy. The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated with soft, calming tones, and had just the right blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The Food: Breakfast each morning was a treat. A choice of hearty Cumbrian classics or lighter options, all made fresh and served in the loveldining room with views of the water. We especially loved the perfect poached eggs. The Location: The Hotel is perfectly situated — tucked away enough to feel peaceful and secluded, but still within easy walking distance to the local shops and tourist areas and some incredible walking trails. We spent our days hiking, boating, and wandering through quaint villages with just the right number of tea shops and pubs. The hotel staff were also brilliant with local recommendations — they pointed us to a hidden trail that led to one of the best views we’ve

Great location for shops, bars & restaurants. Beautiful views of the lake from the bar & breakfast rooms. Only issue is the offsite parking. Could be quite awkward & if you use the hotel site it’s a ridiculous price of £25 per day. Not a great management decision in the tough hotel competition, especially as it is an open car park with just a security barrier. The local car park was just £7.00 per day. Safe & quiet. Felt happy to leave car there for a couple of days

We had to wait 10 minutes to be sat down despite many empty tables (if you have mobility issues or are heavily pregnant, it's frustrating). 4. Food was unimpressive especially if you have dietry requirements. Our vegan breakfast was anemic and they didn't have dairy free butter/margarine. The waiters didn't bother cleaning the empty plates, so we had to pile them up. 5. The rooms were unbearably hot. 6. Bed and pillows were really uncomfortable. 7. If your room faces the street, be prepared for drunk people shouting and fighting underneath your window (we would have paid more had we known). 8. Bathrooms are really dated. 9. The water mixer wasn't working properly so we had cold and hot water coming out of the shower simultaneously. It's not a 4 star hotel. It's zero stars really. We wouldn't recommend and would never come back.

We stayed in a family suite. The room was great as were the grounds of the hotel. The only thing that let down our stay was breakfast. Even though we had to book our time slot we stood in a long queue to gain access and waited for quite a while before a staff member came to assist. Once seated we ordered tea/coffee and toast, after approx 15 mins we were then asked what hot breakfast we would like- we still hadn’t received our tea or toast. By the time we eventually got our breakfast 40 mins after we entered our tea was cold. I would stay again but wouldn’t have breakfast.
